Small wars against ASCN/AXE are good - weeds out the careless, gives hands on training to the cadets, grants command experience to the officers. Makes em better prepared for the large wars.
Have fun

ya but then I ask, since ASCN inception, and for exception of the G/IRON/everybodyandtheirmommaswiththeirdogsandcatsandbunnies vs ASCN, when was empire "safe" for us?
from my calculations, in over a year of ASCN, think we had something arround of a total of 1 month time of no wars in empire. -------

Erm...What about that thread? The little action they are talking about was ASCN comming to close to our home and we picked flowers together. At least thats what they told me those blue, red and yellow things appearing in the sky was.
I could be misstaken but I think not.

Word in the spacelanes was Mercs were engaged (MC being the primary) in order to find out how much it would be to evacuate certain items from an ASCN controlled station in Paragon. The word also is, that price was too high and there was, in the end, other options.
Comes down to the hobbits being too trusting. Silly stupid fat hobbitses.
So I say again - If that were to happen, that would be an impressive use of a Merc. I want to see Mercs do some heavy lifting and not pop npcers in sec space.
So sez Johnny~~

Good Luck, we seem to be collecting merc wars atm. I wish I could say we will see you in space, but alas, we rarely do (though Outbreak visited once, they have have not been back again afaik).

The weekends are for mining, everyone knows that. I even hang a sign on my 'poc that says don't disturb. The mercs can come visit me anytime, they will get a ship full of T2 mining lasers. :) -- My views do not represent my corporation nor my alliance. Please pay no attention to me, I seldom do. I just can't keep my mouth shut. |

Indeed, I spent a good bit of time in O0Y and R97 during that time period. You are familiar with those silly systems without "proper" names right? Those ones outside of empire where we live? :)

Nope we've never been in 0.0 cuz it's ebil and we're too scared .

Don't tease me! Spank da hobbit spank da hobbit! Or maybe not the hobbit. interesting. My sources are slacking if this is true because I haven't heard a peep about this. My info hoz better get on it!

Yeah. Paying people to go get fights is dumb. Paying people to gank NPCers makes more sense. Or should I dress it up and say "Disrupting empire logistical operations" *snort*

One thing empire wars do very well, they mobilize people to move out to 0.0
It's very hard to tell your members sometimes that you can get filthy rich and stay safe in 0.0 This just makes them reconsider their empire habitats and join the rest of the corp.
Most of us have alts that can do everything we need in empire, and jump clones are a godsend.
If a merc was hired by an another entity to do damage to ASCN, they are wasting their money. If the Merc corps are doing it for ISK by ganking our nooblets, then good for them, but with 4 merc wars, you guys will need to fight each other for loot
