I have recently decided that my stealth bomber pretty much sucks, so I am using a cheetah now. I was wondering what kind of fittings and setups you find useful for this ship. Right now I have a covops cloak II on it and the other items are empty until I decide what I'm gonna put there. I was thinking ECM in the midslots and overdrives in lows as I mostly want to serve as a warp in point for people I want to watch die.

High: Cloak + Stuff
Mid: Stuff
Low: Nanofibers
There, warp-in point setup. Train Covert Ops V and you can add the scan probe launcher. You will spend 99% of your time cloaked and never activating modules, so it doesn't matter what you fill your other slots with.

Overdrives instead of Nanofibers, or at least make sure they're Local Hulls. And put a MY-2 in your head and snakes if you have money to throw about and really, really like your warpin points.

overdrives are bad for you when you try to jump into gatecamps. It makes the superbly fast cheetah turn like a blackbird. The only thing that ever made me fit overdrives was to be faster than those ****tle alts aligned in safespots.
Nanofibers are excellent, named ones ofc.
My all-time favorite setup: cloak, launcher ab2, 3 offline j5b scrams 3 nanofibs.
for probing jobs, one of the scramblers is as good as online, since after waiting 75secs for the probe to finish, your cap is >95% and you can switch off launcher, start onlining the scram and warp to the result. By the time you start falling out of warp your scram is ready and you can cloak again.
The ab is there mainly to make your life easier for making scouting spots on all those zounds of sols you have to operate in. It's also mighty usefull when you have the scram on someone and orbiting. There aren't many bs that can hit an orbiting cheetah @5km that goes 1100m/s.
Now, I have to admit, that there are some cases when I wondered if I should swap one nanofib for co-pro 2. Haven't tested the setup yet, but that should let you have at least one of those scrams onlined all the time. After seeing a shieldboosting tachyon-shooting 7-stab rathunting mega in pf-, all I think about is scramblers.

How important is it that the nanofibers are best named? I could throw 16 more mil at it but I'm not really sure I want to. Although after playing with it last night, I think it will live a long and productive life

the cheetah and possibly a couple of the other covert ops ships will be getting a CPU boost soon (no don't ask me to find tux's quote on it), so (hopefully) you won't need either covert ops 5 or 3 co-pro IIs to get a cloak + probe launcher on it.
