I still see it in the market window, though friends and corp mates have told me that they don't, and I can still view it as a variation of the standard Vexor.. but all my attemtps to locate one or a BP for one have failed. I also noticed it still has +1 controllable drone as a per cruiser level bonus, so that sparked the thought that it might have been taken out of the game after the drone changes. Can anyone confirm that it's still around or that it's gone?

Edited by: Amanda Shadowsword on 30/05/2006 10:55:12 It does exist, but there were only ever a few given away at an event a few years ago, and even less still around now. if you see one for sale expect to pay more isk than you can count

It's still around, it's simply a collector's item that's worth several hundred million ISK. --- High quality pics of ALL EVE ships!

It does indeed exist and we're looking at creating more collectors item ships like that. They are mainly thought as "event" ships, both for actors and as rewards in events. And to clarify, since I'm sure this question will pop up, here is our classification of ships, using some common terminology!
Tech 1 Ships - Ye Olde Faithfuls Tech 2 Ships- Ye Hideously Expensivelyful Faction Ships - Ye Factionably Fashionate, better common variants of Tech 1 ships or NPC ships. Rare Ships - Guardian Vexor only good example here. Not necessarily better, just different and usually look the same as their standard counterpart. Unique Ships - Imperials, Federates, Magnates, the types Arachv0id dares to fly (and loses)
We're adding the rare ones. Not necessarily going to be as rare as the Guardina Vexor today, we'd like most ship we create to be somewhat commonly flown, but collectors items nonetheless.

You're far, far more likely to find a Navy Vexor. Unfortunately the Navy one isn't listed in a market search while for some reason the Guardian is, so this question pops up frequently.

You know, some of those Intaki versions of Federation ships look beautiful and would make very nice collector's items!

KHANID SHIPS.
Please, please please gives us the chance to acquire a Khanid Arbitrator... I don't care if it costs 100m and has the same stats as an Arbi, I want one.
Seriously though, there's a lot of really, really nice ship skins in game which lots of players would pay an absolute fortune to get access to, even if they don't have any real advantage over normal ships. If doing Khanid/Tash/Sarum/whatever missions could get you an offer for that kinda ship, that would just be sweet

There should be more variant ships just as there are so many brand name cars out there. There's more than just 1 or 2 designs for a particular car or truck niche. So long as no one design is obviously "better" than its peers then you'd get more variety in ships seen and flown.
We already have some of this mentioned in the descriptions for tech 2 ships under their designer corporation. Why not extend this to tech 1 ships? Have variants based off the standard version and have them be reasonably common so they get used and destroyed. Mentioned already are the Khanid and Sarum Omens. How about putting more Caldari corporate variants out or perhaps some Minmatar tribal version?
Maybe put them in specific agent offers for their NPC corps? That way there'd be a difference in who one chooses to work for instead of everyone pouring to work for the Navy. |

i reckon faction destroyers/battlcruisers, would love to see the warped design of a sansha BC and the Angles Cyclones look well sweet.
I've said before and will say again i still regret the time i saw a Guardian Vexor on market for 12 mill (pre exodus) and thought "Why the hell pay 3x as much for 1 missile slot?" oh how i kick myself these days, i was only ingame a month tho so i wasnt to know

<3 for Oveur

BTW, there's probly over well 40 guardian vexors left, considering at least 55 were released and they haven't been dropping like flies..
That 11 number might be right about silver magnates tho.

Not just the skin, the entire model.
The Bustard is the ONLY Tech 2 ship in all of EVE that has a model different from any T1 ship...all the other T2s are based on T1 models, just reskinned and sometimes with a few protrusions bolted on...if we're going to have the Bustard with the Badger Mk III hull, can you just release the Badger Mk III? MY absolute favorite ship of all ships I have ever seen in any space game is the RED Tristan that you encountr in an important storyline mission. It is just a standard TRistan, but it has a red paintjob AND one little difference. It has a small missile launcher model right under its center "eye" thing.
I had it as my signature but st00pid mods removed it because it was a couple of bytes too big Sig Removed. Sig requirements are 400*120 Pixels and 24000 bytes or less. Please e-mail us with any questions. -ReverendM ([email protected]) |
