Instead of thinking about whats beyond the door, and CCP having to create content, how about just just giving us a virtual room, so corps and other groups can see each other.
Good points;
- Solves the Lore behind placing limits on areas.
- Solves problem of being alone in 99% of stations which is really stupid from a Lor point of view.
- Could be used like an advanced voice chat channel, but you could probably see inactive people being afk through no movement.
- Ties in with marketing (and maybe gameplay) for Valyrie.
In the long term if the room could have a feed like is being done to twitch.tv. the room could become a "command center"

wonders why you have a strong desire to see fat sweaty neck beards in virtual.
Also wonders if you have ever done VTC's extensively . I do as I support them for my clients. It be only the the attention ho's who come in for them. Most as soon I as get their VTC info and see they have a phone/audio in option....they take that. Don't have to get dressed up all pretty at 0400 in the morning if dialing in with a phone. Want to phone in wearing a bath robe and fuzzy bunny slippers....its all good.
Sadly my attention ho population greater than the smarter ones. All good really, just means with early starts l leave work earlier. |

Sorry Zan i guess i didnt explain properly, i meant they can give us Virtual Reality headsets for our characters ingame (Virtual VR) so they dont have to show us whats behind the door. Nothing to do with RL.
They just have give us a dust type staging room that we can connect to from our captains quarters irrespective of which stations your in. Hook it up with a feed from twitch.tv on the big screen. Jobs done.
Re sculpting toons to have neckbeards is also a cromulent idea. |
