I'd put my money on the Prophecy.
The Ferox is a nice ship, but sadly it's rather underpowered in PVP compared to the other battlecruisers...extremely easy for running missions AFK, but not a true fighter.

I fly both and my money is on the ferox. A ferox is a great jamming platform and also a great little shiled tank ship. Add a pilot with good missle skills and the proph goes down every time...I know...I've seen me do it.
Now the proph is also a good armor tank platform as well and you can turn it into a sweet gank setup not to different from a gankageddon....
both these ships have their pro's and cons, but to be honest I will take the cyclone over all of them with my T2 720's fitted with tremor ammo...hit from 100K away or throw some quake in for some down and dirty in your face combat. I have had more quality combat kills with the cyclone then any other ship. It is by far my favorite ship to fly.

How about Blaster-Ferox for anti small ship patrol in level 4 missions. Accompanied by my mighty raven of course.

The prophecy pilot was an idiot. It's really that simple. Both BC's have incredible combat capability in the correct hands. I've watched multiple ferox engagements fall to peices because of how staggeringly overpowered a 78-80% resistances across the board, heavy capacitor prophecy.. especially if it decides to get close and nos. Tanks like a hero.
Skill, Tactics, and Adaptability. To say one is better than the other ignores that there are other pilots in the game that know how to work the opposite ship.
