Petition it.
It's basically griefing and if its done in a starter system the GM's are likely to take action.

Edited by: 3rdD Dave on 31/05/2006 09:33:13 Well the Gms dont think its greifing.
" There is nothing illegal about this. Players have a free will and can choose not to open the can. They also get a very clear warning that this is a criminal act that might get them attacked."
oh well.. Guess the Nobs win.

Edited by: Gusti Pande on 31/05/2006 15:08:44 Not alone. Seems like some has made this into a sport and hopefully people will scorn their behaviour. I call for self justice.
Whatever anyone has to say about noobs learning a lesson, which I to some degree can agree on. My experience was with this person ("Hatack" of Star Kingdom of Manticore and Interstellar Alcohol Conglomerate, read IAC) sends me a message, commenting on my mining and how it takes a great deal of time. I am a "noob" in a Tormentor and yes, mining takes a long time. So he kindly offers a better mining laser.
What is less suspicious than a fellow race helping a noob out? It does happen, there are friendly chaps around. So I kindly accept and thank him. He drops his mining laser for me to take, the instance I open it, I think.. "This makes him able to attack me", but since he has assured he means well and is going to sleep soon, I take it. *Boom* "u steal from me! i attack!" Well, a plea didn't help much. He asks me to drop the loot, I do.. he nukes me anyway.
Added grief? He smacktalks on local on how much fun it is to nuke noobs, then heads over to the Imperal War Academy to continue.
If I had taken it without even having a chat prior to this, it would have been something else. "Hatack" actually pretending to be helping out, demands dropping loot and then nukes anyway, sure that is the ultimate griefer.
Cost me a lot of my starter ISK to start all over. But I will not trust grief kiddos again.

Ummm this is kinda sad, sure its a valuable lesson but cmon now.
This is griefing to its fulest extent as killing noobs is NOT profitable, and is being done to get enjoyment out of the greif of others.
Im sure those guys are adding every single kill to their killboard +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Mmmmm scordite....... |

I can understand scamming because it's taking advantage of others people stupidty or lack of attention. I can understand theft because, oh well, some like the easy or insidious ways. Piracy? Not even going to debate that, every game needs its villans.
But doing this to noobs, it's low. Way too low. Yes there is a warning pop-up but some people have difficulties with english. Other with understanding the basics of a pvp mmorpg, especialy if it's their first mmorpg.
This is in my book the same as killing a injured horse with a chainsaw because "Hey, I end his suffering, it's not true that I took pleasure in torturing the poor animal". Not that I believe those who pull those stunts like to torture animals IRL, just a comparision. _______________________________________________

Last time I killed Mentaxx's Armageddon he was doing the same thing in Rens.
Locked him up in my Ishtar (Empire wars ftw), and started killing him. One of his friends undocked in a Caracal (Armageddon was on 80% struct), and jammed me - despite not having a scramble on him, he died to my drones, and then complained because 'drones dont attack when ur jammed'.

You would think that if some tard is causing so much crap in an empire system, a few bored carebears would try to setup a sting to get flags on him as well so they could wtfpwn the guy's HAC.

This is absolute unhonorable act. It will be not tolerate in RMN and in IAC aliance. We will do solve this fast and energize.

I'm a big carebear myself but someone once said that "Let's take off all the warning signs and labels and let evolution take care of business" .. isn't this kinda of same? They are WARNED before they open it that they might get whooped. And people on local prolly also warns.
Continue doing it, kudos for that griefer.
Ps. I once did same to Moa while I was in Crusader. I stole his loot and she opened fire at me. Needless to say that once I got her to structure I told her that it's not prolly a good idea to attack "frigate looking" ship if they are "stealing" her loot. I hope that person learn a lesson there. I paid her repair bill thou.
