"The Hawk launcher rate of fire bonus has been changed to missile kinetic damage bonus, and the hybrid optimal bonus has been changed to missile velocity bonus. It also has a higher power output and a new high power slot."
But it says nothing about giving the ship four missile slots. This is kind of worrying... a 2/3 missile/turret ship with bonuses to only two slots would be even worse than the ship is now. Could someone confirm that we're really getting a "missile assault ship" with four launcher slots?

Oddly enough, it doesn't have the changed skill descriptions yet, but you can clearly see four missile launcher hardpoints. -------------- What good are actions if there's no one to tell the tale afterward?

That's not a confirmation. The bonuses aren't right for the patch notes. I think that's a hold over from when Assault changes were first mentioned.
I'll be a bit upset if the Hawk isn't given 4 launchers...

Exactly. And it doesn't include the extra high slot mentioned in the patch notes, so that's definitely not the final layout.

Now gets 4 launcher hardpoints and 2 turret hardpoints
hybrid optimal range bonus changed to missile velocity bonus
There were three assault ships I mentioned, the Hawk, Vengeance and Jaguar. Even though the Hawk changes are a bit larger they are a bit more straightforward. Give it missile slots and change hybrid bonus to missile bonus. The other two ships would need more player testing before I'm satisfied with the results.

I think it can be only one of two things: 1) whoever wrote the patch notes just forgot to specify that the ship was getting 2 more missile hardpoints and 2 less turret hardpoints 2) someone is retarded and gave it missile bonuses only without changing its hardpoint layout at all

No where is there a mentioning of Launcher hardpoints.

That's exactly what I quoted in the first post, from the exact same source. But you'll notice it doesn't mention the number of missile slots. So we could be getting the two we already have (but with a second bonus), three + turrets, or the four we were promised earlier. Sure, we were promised four, but a literal reading of the patch notes suggests this was changed.
So devs, which is the final version?

My money's on option #1.
3) There was a miscommunication, and whoever did the stats for the new patch thought the slot layout had already been changed. In which case, someone needs to notice this thread.
4) We're getting a 3 missile/2 turret Hawk, not four launchers.

But this was before testing... what I'm afraid of is someone decided the four-launcher hawk would be too good, and they killed the idea. What I'm asking is has this decision changed or not? Will we be getting the promised 4-launcher hawk, or will we be getting the same slot layout with "better" bonuses?

Let me put it this way: if the Hawk doesn't get four missile launchers in this patch, I'll self-destruct my pod in Jita for all to see. Everything else Tux proposed has been implemented. I'd be dumbfounded if quad-launchers weren't implemented for some reason. ---

I'm not going to read through 12 pages of that linked thread, but am I the only person who noticed the first line that reads "Stuff in italics won't make it in"?
The line regarding the 4 launchers is in italics...
If this has changed since the last patch, all well and good.

They wouldn't make it in for the last patch. This is the second part where changes they previously couldn't implement, will be.

No point putting the hardpoint changes in if the bonuses didn't. It is getting 4 launchers. I don't see how it would be overpowered, for of the other assault ships get 4 of their primary weapons and even Kestrel has 4 launchers.

The jaguar is getting a extra mid-slot! And a speed boost. I mean really, how can you complain that it's underpowered in comparison. Can you say multi-role assault frigate?
