Railgun
ECM
Guided Missile
Thus a railgun ship is completely inline with them. |

Yeah heavies and below I think are fine (and by fine I mean extremely effective), it's the BS stuff that's well....BS.

Torpedoes were just a bad option on the Naga because no ship with a paper tank is going to reliably get into the ranges necessary to apply that weapon system, especially in a large fleet environment.
Torpedoes are fine for what they're intended to do. Cruises are just terrible because that range is no longer viable in any aspect of the game, and their damage is pretty bad compared to the other close to mid range weapons. There really needs to be a missile in between torps and cruises for battleships. For a comparison, in battleship missiles there's only really a choice between blasters with antimatter, or rails with iron. There needs to be a rails with antimatter, plutonium, or uranium option. It could be as simple as adding a battleship sized heavy launcher upscaled in the same way that assault launchers are upscaled from standard launchers. |
