Edited by: Dr Janov on 31/05/2006 09:09:08 Edited by: Dr Janov on 31/05/2006 09:05:13 Hi fellow Eve-Pilot,
if you are intimidated by all the huge and very experienced corporations out there - then "Paxton Industries" is the right one to look into. We are still fairly small (ca. 20 active members), with members varying in experience from almost a year to just out of 14-days-trial. You will be making a difference, not just be another number in the pool! We do some mining, some NPC-hunting, have a corporation event about once a week. Above all, this corp is about personal enjoyment and fun playing, so there is no pressure on the member - be online as much or little as you want, take part in activities, or pursue your own path, have a chat or be silent... we are looking for players of all trades, miners, fighters, builders or traders, all are welcome and needed!
There is a good chance to make isks fairly quick for new players, and we also help with equipping ships. We are located on the southern rim of empire (just search for "Tividu" or "Tendhyes"-systems), we also have access to 0.0 - space and do some NPC-hunting there.
So how does this work? Contact me when online, or just join our recruitment channel "Paxton". There should be almost always someone online (we have members in all timezones, except Pacific and Far East). Just come and have a nice chat, no strings attached. If you dont like what you see, nothing lost but a few minutes.
Hope to see you online soon! Lit Jan, Recruitment Officer for "Paxton Industries"
P.S.: For some unknown reason, the EVE-Forum-system decided, against my declared will, to use my alt "Dr.Janov" as my avatar :-( Please look for "Lit Jan", as Dr. Janov is never online :-)

Okay, so this is ever-so-slightly off topic, but still relevant to our recruitment...
(I'm the founder, by the way, though no longer the CEO)
Last night one of our newer members was caught by a gate camp by the short bus squad [TSBS] and lost his ship. Unable to take that lying down, we rustled up a small group and went in search of some revenge... Being a small corp, we managed a couple of dominixes and a couple of frigates and had some really good fun with the ebil pirates.
I got my first rat killmail, with a little help, and my tank managed to hold out pretty well for a while. Until they brought in their reinforcements and we got omgwtfbbqpwned, as I believe the saying goes.
So, my point, we need more people!
We've got the infrastructure. We've got a nice shiny POS in 0.0. We've got the industrial base and the cash and can offer lots of support to our members, but if we're going to gank the behinds off the ebil space pirates, we need to be sending groups of ten, with tacklers and gankers and tankers, not groups of four who do okay for a while and end up ganked.
So if you're into empire mining, mission running, ratting, pvp or all of the above, give us a shout. Join channel Paxton, be prepared to put up with our standard language choice (Bad English) and say "hi".
Oh, and TSBS? Thanks, I had more fun losing that fight than I've had in ages. Sure made enough mistakes to learn from, but next time... next time I sure hope it takes you at least one more ship to gank my behind!

Great post. You corp sounds like what I'm looking for. I only have 600k sp and am still doing lvl 1 missions right now, though.

It's attitude that counts, really... a 600k sp player can still (probably!) fly a tackling frigate or do useful stuff, so look us up!

I dropped by the Paxton channel, but no one was home. Will try again. Looks like you guys might be in a different part of the universe than me, though. I'm running Minmatar missions right now.

Could be the case, that noone was on at the time you tried? What timezone are you in? Most of our members are in either the Europe or US Timezone

Let's see...I'm pretty sure I'm GMT -6. Central USA.
I'll try again soon...maybe tonight. No rush...just started doing lvl 2 missions and am finding them to be a nice challenge. Gotta reconfig the Stabber, though.
Catch y'all soon for sure.

Okay, so I mentioned that a 600k sp pilot could still (probably!) do useful stuff...
The other night, a similarly low-skilled pilot was part of a gang of three ratting in 0.0 and each of us made about 3 million in bounties. Does that count as useful stuff?

Hi All
Just wanted to add my 0.2 ISK to this thread. I have been a member of Paxton Industries almost 4 weeks now, about a week shorter than my life in Eve. And i can highly recomend it.
I got picked up almost out of newb space, while trying to decide if i where going to stay after the free period. Guess you all know what happend...
They have really helped med a lot, with all the stupid questions I can think up. Though they are still trying to instill in me a urge to fight and replace my mining lasers with somthing that packs a punch :-) Alas atm I'm quite content with my mining and trading. Yesterday I got my first lesson in buying low and selling high, and cant wait to try some more during the weekend.
Guess I used up my time now. Hope to see you in Paxton Industries, or just drop by for a chat.

This is one of the most relaxed corps I've been in. The leadership somehow manages to combine a pressure-free atmosphere that encourages and advises you irregardless of what you do in Eve, and at the same time accomplishes things.
So far, I've enjoyed the mining and the patrols through pirate space the most, but I know others do everything Lit Jan talked about. Heck, I've had a few ships built for me by various corp members
So, if you're looking for a friendly atmosphere, and at the same time want to feel like actually doing something, join the channel. You'll get to meet the crew and you've nothing to lose. Except space for the UI for the channel....and we all know we have too many of those open, but still..

Yes, we have a nice influx of cool, mature and friendly new members. Everyone fits in very well, as we also make clear during our recruitment conversations that we are not looking for pirates, but for team-players. Helping each other out is a given, and self-centered or egoistic people are not tolerated - yet fortunately we havent had any join so far. We accept people from all timezones - but basic command of the english language is necessary.
So pay us a visit on the "Paxton" Channel (the name of the channel is "Paxton") - and put an end to the solitary boredom that EVE can be without the right company...

Just thought I would clarify on one statement I made in the opening post: We are still fairly small, but have already 40 members (so our size has doubled)... more members mean more people to do stuff with, and we have seen this effect taken a true hold of Paxton Industries in the last weeks since I wrote this post!
So come over to "Paxton" and lets chat for a while, so we can see what we can do for each other :-)

Hi there, I have been playing only a few days, I have my first million isk and my first 100k in SP. I'm not new to gaming, just this game.
If my skill set isn't too noobish (I've been concentrating on learning skills) I'd love to get involved with a corp along your lines.
I will check out your channel tonight to see if anyone is home.

Just wanted to say I joined this corp a few weeks ago and they are everything they claim in this thread. Has been the best few weeks of my time in EVE. I highly recommend this corp to anyone looking who values cooperation with retaining as much independance as desired. Also RL comes first, but this is a corp with clear goals and solid leadership to achieve those goals. Again stop by the Paxton channel and say hi (saying hi is important as most corp chat is done on corp channel but many members have paxton set to blink and will then check the channel after you say something)
