Hey all-
After a good time mining, I finally have some extra ISK to spend on PvP. I already got some frig fits and I was wondering if anyone knows some really good starting PvP systems in Amarr space.
Thanks |

Thanks As Garviel said abov, any FW system will do just fine. Better yet, quit mining, and join FW yourself. PvP all the time and make lots of ISK while doing so! I wear my goggles at night.

We run mainly out of Tannakan. There are a lot of good systems nearby for pew. You should really join a FW corp if you want to make isk while doing PVP. If that does not appeal to you, go solo or pirate. Good luck to you whatever your choice is. |

Okay. Thanks. I'm looking into some FW corps right now and fitting some ships. |

Join a wh corp. You won't need to worry about isk or finding pvp. FW is just a bunch of scrubs and alt scrubs in t1 frigates.
Don't get me wrong, frigate fights totally rock. But if you join FW you'll be flying an incursus until you puke. Maybe upgrade to a comet or something, but the point is, the pvp is pretty repetative. A good amount, but it's the same fight over and over and over and over....

One of the better wh pilots I've flown with showed up with a buzzard and a rifter - 3 weeks of training tops.
From there he trained up a noctis so he could salvage and be a part of the PVE team - 2 days max
Then came a bomber - 1 week (crap support skills, but that wasn't an issue)
Then came the venture - wasted time (he's personally to pvp focussed to gas)
2 weeks later he claimed assault frigate and inty.
And he's still working his way up the ladder - and consistently one of the better guys to fly with throughout his training and learning.
So, to excel at wormholes you need: a good attitude, a sense of adventure, a very light attachment to the ships you own, a buzzard and a rifter.

As a PvP rookie, you'll probably die horribly in a solo frigate. It's also how I got my start, and I think it was a great learning experience, so I say go for it.
If you're set on this path, try the Fua constellation in Domain. There's an entry system (Naguton) 4 jumps from Amarr, plenty of belts and stations, and it connects with two other regions (Kador, Sinq Laison) so it's reasonably well travelled. Alternatively, the Armi constellation is a bit further out, has fewer belts, no stations, and is a dead-end loop, so there's less traffic.
Having said that, if I were you, I would join one of the Faction Warfare corps in Amarr space and get my start there. Lots of opportunity for PvP without the pain of having to learn it solo.
Either way, just remember:
1. Don't criminally flag yourself* at a station or a gate: the sentry guns will pop you pretty much instantly in a frigate. Ask me how I know.... 2. You should be able to align and warp out faster than cruisers & up camping a gate or station can lock you, so use that to your advantage. 3. Whenever you undock/jump in, you have time to assess the situation before anyone can harm you. Use this time wisely.
Good hunting.
*By "criminally flag yourself" I mean shooting at anything that would provoke a CONCORD response if you were in hisec. |

If you contact someone from Scope Works, we can help bring you into Huola (0.4, 6 from Amarr) safely to enjoy pew. We're here to try and keep the highsec connection to the system clear so newbros can experience lowsec without just dying to a big gate camp.
DISCLAIMER: We aren't on 24/7 to do this, so don't assume Huola is always "safe." In fact, never assume any lowsec system is safe :P Ever.
