Hey all,
My question should be rather simple. Is gthere any way to run multiple instances of the EVE client using 2 seperate accounts from the same PC without using VMWare or something similar?
Is there anything special that needs to be done?
TIA

I run 2 accounts from same PC all the time. just run one log in and rerun you dont even need to use a seperate install of eve.

Thanks a ton, BTW.

Just make sure you turn sound off, and it works well enough with enough RAM

Some machines have problems when you do it with sound on. Some have problems with all clients running with sun occlusion on. Other than that, it simply works fine most of the time. --

I'm one who get sound probs. Sound driver gets messed up if running two or more EVEs for a while. Sound starts *****ing and popping, some sounds don't play... need a reboot of the comp to fix it. Other than that, works fine.

i get the old BSOD with sound on both, which is annoying considering its a good sound card. all computers are different i guess, and mine is a moody as my GF.
speaking of which, anyone run a dual monitor setup for 2 clients?

Works fine for me as well. The only problem i get is if one of the clients drops for some reason and i have to reopen it i get a 640x480 resolution on it unless i close the other client out and launch them bot hat the same time again :P

Also don't forget, if you've changed the buffer size in the prefs.ini file in EVE directory to half the amount of RAM you have you'll Start to get atifacts, choppy play or even experience one client shutting down constantly. So lower that if you plan to use 2 or more accounts.
I joined BoB and all I got was this crappy sign 族
