Everyones knows the Apocalypse has an insane tank. Possibly the best Battleship tank so far? Ill leave that to you. But Ive tried and tried on SISI to get a good tank against ANY kind of Battleship and it fails lonh before my guns break the other ships tank. And yes I was playing people better than me, and yes I ripped apart people with lower SP than me.
But my post is to see what you insane apoc tankers use. Heres what Ive treid t ostart the post off. (Note im using lows only. You can put waht guns you fit with it ect but im just putting lows)
2x1600mm Tungsten 2x Nano's 1x CPR 2x Large armor reps.
let the flames begin...

Large Rep II x 2 Explosive Hardener II x 1 Kinetic Hardener II x 1 Thermal Hardener II x 1 Energized Adaptive Nano II x 1 1600mm Rolled Tungsten Plate x 1 or Pseudo Damage Control x 1
Mids: Cap Recharger IIs

I've always preferred having higher resistances over putting on more armor. "If I take less damage then I won't need the extra hitpoints!" is how I've been looking at it.
Try using active hardeners? And are you beaming or pulsing? ---

Im pulsing. And the Nanos normally are replaced with the 2 dark blood active plates I have when I know who im fighting.

You generally use plates when you want to "buffer" the dmg taken from your opponent, this is usualy a good idea when you are doing INSANE dmg and your opponents buffer isn't as good as yours.
Another good use of the Apoc tank with 1600mm's is the bait.
Fit your lows first: 2x LAR II, 2x 1600mm Plate, 3x Adaptive Nanos
Mids: 2x Cap Rechargers, 2x 20km Scram (being able to die down the bait is always a good thing)
His: how ever many NOS you can fit with the left over PG and CPU.
This does no dmg, bar drones, but it's not suppose to.
Then there is the proper tank... which Sarmaul pretty much out lined. Swap Mids for web + scram + cap booster, or variations of.

It seems like cap rechargers dont..recharge a lot of cap. I normally use all 4 mid slots with cap rechargers but even with the best named (Eutatic [sp?]) it still doesnt recharge a lot. either way..

How about 3x LAR2, 2x 1600mm tungsten, 2x energized nano II?
A cap injector would keep the LARs active, of course.

You'd chew through 800 shots with 3 LARII in minutes, then you'd have nothing
I used 2 x LAR II 3 x Active Hardener II and a Cap Injector...the cap injector ran our of charges before I could break the tank on a Throne.

Whats odd is cap injectors work well for me but as soon as I run out I die while reloading.Timing is the key.

Batteries need more fitting but generally work better IMHO. Compare the average cap recharge per second fitting batteries and then with rechargers - the more cap you have, the faster it recharges anyway.

try fitting the apoc with autocannons and slap in one gyroII and you do more dmg then with any amarr short range guns and you wont have the guns suck all cap that now can be used for the repairers. also you will be able to do all dmg types.
