I've been here about a month. And I have a few suggestions and feedback I'd like to offer.
*The game is not new player friendly.
I have never been more frustrated in learning a game in my life. And I've played a lot of games, mind you. The tutorials don't really walk you through much that is really helpful. And yes, I read them. But while having three or four different ways to do the same thing in the game is very convenient and "Windows-y," it is only more frustrating when you ask for help and four different people give you four different answers...all that do the same thing but is not explained that way. I'm not saying you should go the way of "EVEsy-craft" or anything. But the new player experience could be made a whole lot better. I actually had someone in rookie chat say the game was made that way to intentionally keep the stupid people out. I'm quite certain that person does not work for CCP. And before someone says "Go watch a youtube video," I did. And I discovered one very big item that all the folks that made those "tutorial videos" forget to mention: they are showing you how to do things in the game with the same character they've been playing for the last five years. All maxed skilled out and upgraded. But since you're new, you're not trained to do anything. And even though you follow the video maker's instructions to the letter, you still cannot accomplish your goal.
*Revamp the bounty system.
Imagine me, a new player, getting out in to space and saying "Hello" in local chat. The next thing I know, I've got a 400,000 ISK bounty placed on me. "What did I do!?" Another million ISK bounty. Complain about it? TWO million ISK bounty. Something tells me that this is not what the creator's intended the bounty system in the game to be. At least Vic was destroying corporation owned ships and had to be stopped. Me, I said "Hello" once. That's real criminal activity for you there. Am I surprised? Not really. Players can corrupt anything put in to a game to do something that was not intended. It's bad enough that players can go around attacking any thing for any reason or even no reason at all. But now, they have a financial reason to blast me to atoms. "Oh, it's a gesture of love." "Don't worry about it." Yeah. Bull crap.
*Item suggestion: reaction control thrusters.
Even in Star Trek, big, bulky ships like the Enterprise are not going to be doing loop-de-loops at impulse speeds. But if the captain wants to ship to come to an immediate halt, the ship can decelerate within seconds. Why can't ships in EVE do this? Sure, it is a little hard on the ship's structure. But if I want my ship to stop, I'd like to have the option to make it stop right then and there. Not coast along for as long as it takes to go from 50 to 0. "Emergency stop!" "Aye, sir." *floats on for twenty seconds...and runs in to the very thing the captain said to come to a stop to avoid hitting.*
* The forums don't save anything.
The forums show this little fading blip called "Draft saved." But it doesn't. In fact, if I don't highlight and copy this entire post before hitting "Preview" or "Post," I can expect to not see any of the text I just typed out. And I am still logged in to the forums. I can honestly say I have never encountered something like this on any other forum on the internet. Yeah, maybe I don't get out much. But this odd bug is a little annoying. *Edit. And I was right! Even clicking on the previously saved draft showed a blank page. "Hey, this is my kind of rain.-á No wonder the sky looked funny today."-á -Dante

About the: *The game is not new player friendly.
I think thats more of a plus, think of one Single Game which even 10(!) Year old vets can learn something new?!
But ok, sometimes the UI is very bulky but atleast they work on it! Meet the Mario Kart 8 - Capsuleer Club Cup |

1. They're working on it. The NPE is by far better than when I started -- "Here's a gun, shoot that guy with it" ... "Here's a mining laser, shoot that rock with it" ... "Okay, you know all the things! enjoy eve!"
2. Bounties are worthless, don't let it get to you. Wear the wanted sticker as a badge of honor ... or lose something worth 5x the bounty (as bounty only pays out 20% of your loss, up to the maximum bounty on your head).
also, because you brought it up here, expect another few million on your head.
3. Train skills (I don't know which - they've renamed a lot), and you can accelerate/decelerate faster. Although, unless you're MWDing past something (and overshoot by a few km), this really doesn't cause a problem.
What specifically here is giving you trouble?
4. You have to click the link (bottom left of the message body window in the "full reply" page) that says something to the effect of "you have a draft...". It will then open a popup, and allow you to then proofread and edit further. One of the bitter points of a good bittervet is the realisation that all those SP don't really do much, and that the newbie is having much more fun with what little he has. - Tippia |

#1 is good. It separates the chaff from the wheat.
Also, new players have it freaking easy nowadays. Back in my day you could start with 3,000 SP, no super special boost implant, had to do learning skills first and little to no tutorials. |

OP has been addressed in full.
Welcome to Eve. It seems janky at first, but you get used to it.
Hint: Right click everything. Show info everything. Read and ask questions on the fuzzy bits. All of the information is there for the inquisitive player. There are also a lot of Corporations with players who enjoy teaching new players, if you aren't getting that from your current corp. |

I Can agree with your first point, the new player experience is still a bit much, but, when i first tried eve, some 5-6 years ago, it was so bad i played all of maybe 20 minutes before i quit and uninstalled the client. its a work in progress, and while sometimes a pain in the ass, gets easier over time. one thing i do believe they need to address is the overview and the customization of it.
The rest of your points i don't much see a basis for. mid you yesterday trying to use an AG that was in the middle of a rogue drone structure would have been easier with an immediant stop, it just isn't practical as modaul.
The bounty system does need work, but not in the sense you want. part of the sandbox of eve is free reign to an extent. bounties can and are used as warnings against scammers, status symbols, or just because player A pissed off player B and Player B wants to pay people to "School player A's noob ass".
I applaud you, a new player, for actually taking the time to write a lengthy post in regards to the game however.
Edit: Post above is correct. thats why i only afk in a normal raven while watching netflix. |

Maybe I should add a little context to why I can say with confidence why bounties mean nothing.
When I was new, not so many months ago, I joined a Corporation. Upon entering the Corporation I was surprised to find out that I suddenly had a 3.6 billion isk bounty - the Corporation's bounty.
A 3.6 billion isk bounty had almost no impact on my gameplay for 3 months. 10 million is not going to affect you in any way. |

I am already talking to a close friend to deal with the situation in exchange for some ISK. That's the beauty of EVE. Your actions can matter because you don't aim at some numbers in a database, you aim at the heart of the human behind those numbers. Oh, that's just great. I dare to offer some meaningful feedback to CCP and I get people declaring war on me in the game.

Humans suck.
High sec wars are also pretty meaningless once you understand the basics of them.
Consider this a crash course in Eve 101. And drop me a message if you need some advice. |

You have provided feedback, no doubt. Meaningful is a big word for that. CCP is very much concerned with those matters, as can be watched here. That being said, let's have a look at you.
You managed to get yourself into some sort of trouble -- seen from your perspective. Other players seam not to agree. Instead trying to understand that perspective you drop insults at other players. Now you got yourself into even bigger problems. You could have solved all those issues by having a civilised discussion. As it seams that's asked to much of you. Was easy to guess seeing that your first-world-kid-attitude leads to the inevitable whining and bitching. If you take all the sand out of the box, only the cat poo will remain. |
