why why megawhy?
would help t2 ship prices which the devs themselfs said they need addressing, and this would be a way to put money into the hands of pvpers rather than some zero risk carebare production corp

This is the best idea on forums SINCE TIME ITSELF began
seriously i see no flaw in this at all, it seems a great way to reward pvpers and a nice way to add more t2 ships into the game
something like 1/3 chance of droping a bpc would be great!

Uh, go read the in development stuff about salvage.
A good version of this idea already exists in development.

thats a npc thing! say there was a 1/3 chance of a t2 ship droping a 1run bpc on destruction this would be like adding 1/3 more bpos into the game, its a much better way to destribute the thing than to give a bpo to some lucky carebare!
Salvaging - New Mini-Profession
Salvaging will be mostly used to harvest ingredients to manufacture Tech I and Tech II mods for both modules and ships. You salvage Wrecks, which are created on destruction of player and npc ships instead of cans. You will remove loot from wrecks as usual, but to salvage the additional ingredients you require Salvaging equipment and skills.

So, in a game geared towards PvP, you want even more love for the PvPers ?
The life of a carebear may be "zero-risk", but it's also almost "zero-rewards" ...
I live in Empire, don't do any PvP, and I haven't had any luck in one year of T2 research with 4 agents ... after 18 months of play, I'm still a fair way from my first billion ...
A producer in 0.0 may be a carebear, but his life is FAR from zero-risk.
The solution to the T2 price problem is simply more BPOs ... so the producers can actually try to meet the demands ... of course, that won't stop the greedy resellers from gouging prices, but it will help.

is that a fact, why would u go out risk your ship to kill a group of people when u can go to your agent and kill dumb rats for the same thing with zero risk!

if u crash ur car and leave it there, some other car manufacturer can get it and build it up again, it wount be as efficent, but more than doable

Yeah, right.
Ever heard of things like lag, crash to desktop, drone aggro bug ?
In fact, it's rather easy to loose a ship in Empire missions, even with maxed skills, unless if you use a Raven for level 1 missions ... belt rats are another story, but there are some level 4 missions that can easily break the Mighty Raven Tank if the pilot is not careful.

Edited by: Kher''Aleer on 01/06/2006 11:24:01 From a rolepaying point of view I must say this suggestion is one of the most unrealistic I¦ve seen in a very long time.
As posted above: If I crash my car, I wont be able to get any blueprints from it, so why should I get one from a ship in a sci-fi rolepaying game?
It might have seen realistic, for 15 yeas ago, on nintendo 8-bit...
