The ones I've seen will only engage you if they have more ships that you, and when you bring even numbers, they leave. Lately I've seen 2 BS take out 1 sniping BS - double numbers. And the other day an associate lost his Megathron to a Megathron and a Vindicator from MC. Not flaming/smacking or anything, it would just be nice to see a 1v1 BS battle or something one day. A fair point well taken. As a pirate myself, it frustrates me when people fit stabs, so try not to fit them myself. I don't think my corp members fit them, but I can't be sure. Not saying that your corp use them but maybe MC brought more due to many snipers/tankers fitting stabs? Or maybe it someone just wanted to tag along for some action Absolute Evil pwned my sig =(
