Since I always get disconnected in the middle of character creation, i was wondering if there is some out of game race, skills, schools tree so i can plan it ahead?

Yes I also get disconnected during this process. There must be a short timeout timer in the background during this.
Sig removed, inappropriate content - Cortes
(I've given up trying to make a sig that meets ISD ruthlessly strict requirements) Dont know how you others manage to do it. |

To not get disconnected, skip a couple of pages forward & then back every 10mins...
Drove me nuts, I spent about 3hours (no joke) making just a characters portrait before it dropped..

If you get disconnected during character creation, the problem could be your ISP, as many ISPs disconnect a connection if you aren't sending data (which you aren't when you're making a face, etc).

what's the solution then? this is a problem for me as well. extremely aggrivating. i have to save a screenshot of my refined character, and then hurridly try to recreate the exact same appearance before an unknown time limit. i always end up missing some little detail i would have had time to spot otherwise... this didn't use to be a problem... couldn't the client be made to send data packets now and then to keep the connection open?

You could try to download something in the background while makeing your charactor. might work, i dont know.
