Tin-hattery eh. Let's just say I am a new member in one of the corporations within MC. I am not lieing about what I have posted. I do not agree with what is going to be done and I am voicing my opinions and pleaing to the eve community to help.
The Big Blue has done nothing to anyone and I am at no way faulting MC for taking this contract, it's your job and how you make isk...no big deal. The asshats that hired you should be the ones going down though.
nuff said...when BWF falls and the T2 market gets even more expensive then we will see who the ass hats and spinners are in this game. I know I don't want to be associated with this clownshow of a move.
Yes it will be a great achivement if MC takes BWF and destroy's the 51 POS's.... 31 large POS's for T2 production if I remember correctly from the MC forums...
Or the fact that you are doing this for a friend and only charging for sieging fuels and such and MC gets to sell the BWF outpost...

SpyB0y is giving very specific information here.... MC tried to roll with it by makeing light of it, and missdirecting by spamming the board with "MC is also invading this...", that much is obvious. But it failed.
I'll take SpyB0y's words as fact. What MC is about to do will be quite a feat, and it appears it would have been executed perfectly if it wasn't for you, SpyB0y.
So the big question now is, how will Big Blue react? And can they repel the attack?

It's going to be interesting to see how this will play out. I'm almost sure there will be at least ONE alliance who comes to BigBlues aid. Count on it being someone who would most benifit with them staying in power.... such as their neighbor to the north, perhaps?
Either way, I don't see how ISS will be able to get away scott free from this..... "true neutrals" don't hire merc corps to kill their competition.
My guess is if big blue falls ISS will become a new target by major alliances. |

great post! the north thing came to mind mind also. they need to make sure bb stays in power and producing. iss ofc makes about as much sense as bob with the no cost contract thing. i know mc is bored and needs practice. but if this goes on they will lose respect from the community count on that. it becomes more apparent their ties. in the past i have said iss,bob and mc. i was called names and a conspiritor seems like its coming to pass and light is shining through a bit more. one thing is for sure itll be exciting to watch!

I predict a sticky MC thread by a ****ed off Wrangler in the near future. Sort of graduation ceremony into the big leagues on the tinfoil hattery front.
That said, a BWF siege would be interesting. Just for being pretty big an undertaking. Dreads in siege mode and hostile fleets mix badly and you'd have plenty o' both.

However I do see this as different to someone joining a corp to offline POS's or spy on stuff etc, most people we let into the MC are people we trust or think we can trust.
However whoever this is has no honour or guts and is simply a coward, he knows what we do we kill stuff and yet he still joined an MC corp?
If this person wanted to alert a target surely Eve mail would make more sense? Or at least leaving the MC and posting this crap with his main?

I'm just ****ed that this person can't use a main to express themself. Kinda like you.
As for the affect on the alliance... meh. In order for anyone to know any real detail about the overall goals of our next contract, they would have to have spoken with our client. The client is not a 'friend' as I only met him/her/them very recently. Only two people in the MC even know who our current client is right now and I doubt this person is the other one.
Then again, maybe the alt is our client? Now wouldn't that be something?

If you have a strong sense of moral outrage about any target, which by the way is still no excuse (you thought you only had to fight people you personally did not like? Our client's arent cowards they convo 95% of the time with their mains and want a service provided that they cant do themselves, also some clients arent bothered if the target knows who hires them but its upto them.

Elve, TBH, we've had more than a few clients who made no secret of thier identity. Those that don't, well they have thier reasons I guess. What's more, you'd be shocked at some of the people we've almost worked for but had to turn down due to a prior commitment.
Most importantly though, we don't work for alts, even if they have 20 billion ISK to spent. I deal with main characters or not at all.

Elve, you're mixing apples and oranges. It's two very different issues. A two year old character who contacts the MC Leadership with a contract proposal he wants to keep quiet is quite different than a one day old character spamming these forums with speculation and opinions.
I guess my point is that if you're going to have an opinion in public, at least have the balls to stand up for it. Otherwise, it's not really your opinion because you're too afraid to stand up for it. There must be a chance you think you might be wrong or else you wouldn't feel the need to hide behind an alt.
That's why I never have, and never will, post with an alt on these forums (if there were a way for the mods to confirm this, I'd welcome it): if I have an opinion, you will know it is mine and I will stand or fall based upon that.

I have a deep respect for MC, and what they've done. regardless of the accuracy of the "spy," I hope someone finds out who you are. if you don't like what a corp/alliance is doing, leave and mind your own.
why the hell did you join a merc corp if you're ever going to get cuddly with a potential target?
Personally I know of several players who would give thier right arm to be a part of MC, and little twerps who suddenly develop a conscious do nothing but make good corps even more paranoid.
what really stands out is that you chose to use the name "spy" in your alt. you're nothing but that. no matter how you gloss it over, you're a corp spy and once your main is discovered good luck getting employment-even with Big Blue.
Personally, I don't give a crap either way whether your "intel" is true or not. However what you've done is no better than corp thivery or bait-can killing noobs.

Is it really that different? Because in the end, behind that one day old character is still a two year old character. I assume so anyway, seeing as this one in particular has a main in the MC. Just as your clients might have reasons not to publicly state they hired you, maybe the alt has too? Maybe he still has alot of gear to move before leaving the MC. Maybe he wants to stay unknown because he expects to be flamed by the MC untill eternity if he does come forward. <- Wouldn't blame you if you did, btw. But it's still a reason.
There could be a dozen reasons for both sides. I don't think its any different.

Fair play, to be honest. If the alt is telling the truth, then as one CEO to another, I feel for you. I would hate to be in that position, betrayed, not over ISK or assets, but over the discretion of my plans, from something as cowardly as an alt-post. Actually, even if he isnt telling the truth, its obviously got you guys pretty riled up, so my sympathies.

Regardless of what information I gave out MC will still move on with the plan...at the most they will just hold...what...a week to try and get the suprise back in it or they will just go forword as scheduled and lock down the pipe from empire to BWF and jump their dreads and carriers in from Akora and push the fleet in from their staging point and block the Niya to BWF route. I mean it is a great plan
Done right it will successfully lock the system down...so me posting this has really done nothing right 
Why do I use an alt...well because you guys will within a week be back to normal doing your thing making isk and having fun but if I used my main I would be pelted every day by MC for spreading their "combat plans" to all of eve. Why should my gaming experience be ruined because I am playing the game the way that is fun for me.....does everyone hate on MC for playing the way is fun for them? No...yes apples and oranges. You guys won't find out who I am and I don't plan on telling you...oh and seleene nice try with the alt to try and by my intel off me...I heard about the last spy you guys had and how you did that to him...I did my homework before making my mind up to do this...I mean really...why should my gaming experience be hell because I one upped you.

That is where you are very wrong. The MC is a small alliance. We've stayed small for a reason. Each corp has their own fairly strict recruiting policies. Very few people that make it into the MC ever leave, and those that leave tend to return after a while. WeÆve survived while other alliances have risen and fallen in the same time. Why? Because despite all of the internal bull****, there is a very real sense of family among us.
Either you donÆt understand that because you are new or your own ego to ôone-upö your friends has gotten in the way somehow and you forgot it.
People in the MC tend to have a clear picture of what is going on because of the basic level of trust in the membership. In two years nothing like what you have done has ever happened and you think weÆre upset over some ôplansö that got leaked? Give me a break.

But Seleene you've used spies in the past, alts in CLS for example during earlier wars. Am I to infer MC disavows the use of alt spies as a matter of principle and that you have a corp policy restricting their use? For the benefit of our readers I shall however simplify the matter.
- A new member of MC is awarded the same trust as other normal MC members.
- Said member decides that MC is not to his liking and divulges information (true or not, I don't care).

I am a member of an alliance where we know we are inundated with spies, be they dissatisfied like the MC member or simply implants... silicon based lifeforms who have the sole purpose of leeching information for their master.
We get internal communications posted, our every command in teamspeak is reflected by the opposing gang countering it and so on.
We have learnt to live with it, shrug and just stay on course.
Seleene seems to think that MC should be exempt from it because of "who they are".

I post with an alt because it's forbidden in the corp I run with. It's the only thing about the corp that annoys me, because i'm such a forum w***e at heart. I think it's a good rule in general but I should be allowed to post. just me. yup!
spyb0y. You have a very distinct posting style. The whole...and continue, with no spaces and other certain cues. Of course it's not fool proof but every good alt poster knows to mix up their posting style a bit. Search the private forums for ... and see who uses them run on style, with no spaces. There will probably be a couple of people at least, can maybe narrow it down from there, looking at corp history and such info. Can probably narrow it down to a person or two and have them watched, see if they tip their hand at all.
Seleene -> big fat <3 for the op, assuming it does happen.

Big difference between.. and... and...this. There are other cues too. I never said it was a sure fire way by any means but you never know. Plus by looking at MC boards only, it significantly cuts down on false positives. Out of the entire MC, how many would routinely employ the...without a space?

I only flew with Frick for a month before I left, but if a member ever let me know my corp/alliance was being targeted by MC, I would tell him to frack off and make sure MC leadership knew they had a rat.
If you live the merc life, you follow the rules. Secrecy for the client is 100 percent top priority. If membership starts informing the target because "its not right" then it all falls apart. I hope that they find out who you are, lock down your access to your good, kill and pod you back into empire and make sure the only corp that takes you is the worst of the bottom feeders.
That city is well fortified which has a wall of men instead of brick.
