Looks like the nameservers are dead.
There are other websites listed in the mission resources thread which carry much of the information that eveinfo.com does which should bide you until its back online

When you use a program to hammer a webserver with hundreds of requests at the same time, I would consider it abuse/leeching/scripting.
And if you know if a way to strip mission info from eve, I bet CCP would looove to know.
Even 216.55.156.85/missions/4/ does not work.  This makes a n00b L4 mission runner sad.

EVEinfo comming offline is strange, circumstansis look a lot similair to that other great EVE info site that went dead (what was it`s name?) 6 months ago orso.
Anyway hoop it`ll be back up in short enough time.

I am responsible for several domains, and brute force SSH attempts are vulgar, and trivial.
However, one can adapt to one of 2 stances:
- let it be, and pray noone hacks the server
- secure it. easily enough, there are means to block these attacks with a very simple rule of "more than 2 failed attempts from same IP in a 10-second range -> deny that IP"
The bad part is, most admins nowadays are more concerned with the site's content, and neglect the whole backend and security.
Last week, a so-called "collegue" (although i now consider him just another "guy with a site"), called me in panic, because he was being DDOSed. Then he confessed he had ICMP open since the site was open.
1+1=2. If you don't want intruders, AT LEAST close the doors.

Wasn't it EVE-i or something like that? Don't remember...though I hope that EVEInfo comes back, lots of great info and the mission resourses and invaluable instead of looking through the NPC elfarto site  .

I admit I've used eve info a "couple" of times when encountering new missions.  It's also good for the numbers. While I collect reports on tactics, setups and experiences. And some numbers too. I wonder what I should have done without pages like elFarto's and eve-info and not to forget the total experience of the lvl 4 ingame channel...
... and yeah, looking forward to the ingame version of eve-info! That's the reason my agent pages looks like a pre-year 2000 homepage. They are meant for ingame browser. (And I can't do design).
