Noob question here... I found a lvl 2 agent who has given me good missions, but now the agent seems to be recycling the missions...Is it better to stay with the same agent and do the same missions over and over, hopefully building up your standings, or go around to a number of actions so that you don't get bored, but perhaps not building up your standings?
Also, I don't really understand the Factions thing and how it works. Thanks for any advice. |

Missions are picked out of a pool so you ll get repeats.
Get standing up to use lvl 3 those give the well paying low risk missions.
Standings: agent: decides reward and mission you ll get mostly. Works indirectly through effective quality. agent s corp: which agents you can use of that corp and how nuch they charge for market/refines. faction (race): which agents you can use within faction
vs your corp: how well they like your corp: important for jump clones

going to a new agent wont give you any new missions
even agents from different factions have the same missions, just different pirates.. blah --------------

if you have several lvl 2 agents in the same station and you just want to improve your faction standing you could do several missions from different agents of the same faction saving you having to return to the station and ask for another mission.
Ofcourse your miss the bonuses.

it has to do with your standings with that corp -1.0+ = lvl 1 missions 2.0+ = lvl 2 missions ans so on

If you increase your social skill, you get slightly better standings increases per mission according to the skill info.

Use the social & connections skills to increase your standings and get a high quality agent. Stick with that one, and as you do more missions your standing with that agent will increase, and you'll get paid more for the same work.
Bear in mind that level 3 missions can be a lot harder than level 2 missions- I wouldn't attempt them in anything weaker than a battlecruiser.

Finding out how missions are affecting your standing is buried in the on screen menus:
Bring up your Agent's Info screen and find the Standings Tab. It will show you and your player Corp if you have one. Right click on your entry and select 'Show Transactions'. This gives you a list of recent Missions you have undertaken for that Agent.
If you select the Agent's Corp and do the same you will get a similar Mission list, note that the increases in standing are smaller.
Finally select the Faction that Corp belongs to and you will see that your Faction standing only increases from Storyline Missions, the ones that come from a special agent of the Faction.
You get better Agents by achieving a minimum standing either with that Agent's Corp or Faction. The quickest way up the ladder is to do Missions for one NPC Corp only.
Yes, Missions will repeat. CCP have yet to invent a Mission Generator subprogram. Stick to one Agent however and you should reach the next Level before you get too bored.
