i know its known that eve hates laptops but i can get into eve and prolly just about play it, but im getting some crazy annoying graphical glitches, such as text seems to be almost totally screwed up shows it sometimes but mostly its just a burr of random squares and colours. Same when im in space at times.
Got a 3200+ AMD Athlon 1024mb ddr 64mb Geforce4 440mx go
Following the Nvidia's sites instruction on which driver to download, i try to install... im getting an error saying this driver isnt compatible with my current hardware. Is there anyone out there that could sort this promblem out? or mebbie know where how i can get this driver to install or find one that works?
Really appreciate it guys. --------------------------------------------------------

ok highlighted is the problem. graphcard has only 64 mb of Gram on it= cr*p graphics in game. I know it will play it slightly, but its not the best card for playing eve. I have a x1400 mobility card in my lappy and it sometimes doesnt like it and that has 256 memory on it

So...minimum specs are not really enough then? How about integrated graphics (i.e. Intel extreme and the like) do lappies with these play eve well enough? Anyone with experience?

Athlon 64 2.8GHz, 2GbRAM, 80Gb HD, 128Mb ATI Mobility 9700. The only issue I had was when there was a memory leak, had to upgrade the RAM from 512 to 2 Gb. But anyway.... u'll find that most laptops use a modified graphics controller that uses less electric etc. This is why u need modded drivers, not the generics like ATIs Catalyst package etc.
