Hello,
I moved to a brand new QL12 level 3 agent and she gave me 4 very hard missions in a row. In contrast my previous agent, who has a QL of 0, only gave me 1 hard missions out of 4 or 5à
Is there a correlation between the quality level of the agent and the difficulty of the mission he/she gives?
Thanks, Ambre.

AFAIK, it only affects your rewards (ISK, amount of bonus items and LPs), not the mission itself. Maybe you just got (un)lucky?

There is no correlation... and this is why there are so many freaking people in systems with high QL agents. I wish they'd add in a few more high QL level 3/4 agents so we don't have 200-400+ people in one system at a time.

First I thought that the quality of the agent only defined how fast my corp standing grows. but I am beginning to believe that it does affect your rewards, but by just a very small amount.
And I guess that if the rewards are better, the missions are harder too.
btw, Im becoming unsure if the agents quality really affects my corp standing increase. ANyone can confirm this?

All the more reason why CCP should move all higher quality level agents to .4 security systems and below. If the likelyhood of facing real-player tactics and PVP doesn't detere them then by all means, come one come all.

I run missions from a station that has 3 q20 lv4 security agents + a q20 lv3 security agent and theres 25 people max in the system (ie ive never seen more than that).
Theres plenty of high level agents around but people are too damned lazy/stupid to find em

Yes, the effective quality raises the mission difficulty too. At about +8.0 there's a jump in difficulty. --*=*=*-- Megadon CCP wanted a well known artist and celebrity to test the new font so it's approval would be well known. They got Ray |

agent quality affects mission rewards only in a "small" manner as some have experienced because the effective quality is counted and you can get a bonus of about 20 if your standing and skills are high. so a q15 agent gives youe q35 rewards and a q20 agent q40 rewards which is not such a big difference.

Surely you mean there's a lp payout difference? The rewarded lps generally tell how difficult the mission is, but the actual mission doesn't change imho. I.e. it's the same npcs whether you are in 0.9 sec or in 0.1 security system. This is my experience anyways. ------------------------------------------------- AWM Corp is Recruiting

I assume effective quality is the driver behind mission rewards (and mission). It's unclear to me whether ALL agents can reach an effective quality of 40, or just those in the high teens to start. I have one quality 19 agent with a 9.5 standing where my effective quality is 40.
It might solve some of the player distribution problem if all agents could get to the highest effective level. Some would just have further to go, particularly given the asymptotic decay in standing advancement. |
