From an un-named corp in an un-disclosed location...
Our alliance had an operation in the area, and I was flying around in a covert ops ship. I was scouting around for our fleet, when I picked up something strage on the scanner. There seemed to be 2 hulks and 2 mackinaws sitting in space. There was one other person in system, so I decided to investigate. I initially didnt warp to any moons as I figured these valuable ships would be guarded by a fully armed POS....The strange part was, there was no sign of a tower on the scanner.
So, doing what any good citizen of low-sec would do. I dropped some probes. After a couple minutes I had a lead on the elite barges. Figuring I had little to lose, I warp to the location. To my amazement...I warped in on a fleet and POS setup sitting in dead space, completely abandoned! I felt like a kid in a candy store. Immediately I called for reinforcements and haulers.
Now, without giving too much away, here is a list of what was recovered.
2 x Hulks
2 x Mackinaws
1 x apoc
1 x executioner
1 x enyo
1 x occator
1 x bestower
5 x corporate hanger arrays
4 x reaction arrays
6 x modulated strip miner t2
8 x local hull mods
4 x small 1-type gisti shield booster
These are most of the big ticket item, with countless station parts, mods, and resources. The total was well over 2 billion.
It gets better....
There was ONE memeber from the corp sitting in the system. He was cloaked in an occator about 100km from where the stuff was. He got to watch as all of his abandoned equipment was being removed. PWNED.

Seriously though.. what were they THINKING?
I'm kinda curious though.. how do you steal all of their stuff, including ships and what not? Hacking?

The ships were ejected and left there they were proabably moving there base or trying to set one up there, all the ships didnt have any pods in them so we brought our own pods to fill em :)

If you leave station parts and ships floating in space, they can found. Ships can be boarded, and stuff can be picked up.

They deserve everything they got for leaving that stuff out there.
Hell Drunk and I abandoned two enyo's in a system once and were ****ting ourselves that they were gonna get stolen in the 2 hours it took for us to bring our haulers up.

Can't really call it a heist if all the loot is just floating unprotected in space, can you? Heist implies attaining something despite defenses.

meh, we can discuss it ingame but theres plenty of stab monkeys in your alliance. Kaffeine / Odinson / Hells Elf to name a few.
Theres a lot who dont wear em tho
