Is it possible to stick a POS in Deadspace? At the very least you'd get free guards...

No, POSes are put up by moons. There are no moons in deadspace.
On the other hand, it probably is possible to put one up by one of the moons with an NPC spawn...

Would the POS defence take down the NPC? = free bounty whenever they spawn?

AFAIK there are no moons with an NPC spawn anymore.

I know there are in COSMOS, and I know of a spawn by a planet. I wonder if this is why most of the spawns disappeared

Takes very little time to put one up (5-10 minutes, i forget since its been a while since i put mine up)
But a ton of time to take one down.

I know its not related to the topic, but how much iskies / day can you make from setting up moon mining at a pos? And what would be the initial cost?

Forget Deadspace, I want to put a gank POS next to a stargate

Let me offer you some advice, and by advice I mean scathing criticism. |

I never checked what the rules are on high-sec POS firing on people .. but there's one or two agents at moons in COSMOS. Sticking your POS there could make it damned awkward for your enemies to complete missions ________________________________________________

they only shoot war targets. Still, there are moons with mission NPCs: a POS there would make it nigh-on impossible to complete the missions if it continually ganked the spawns (assuming it would fire on someone who was canflagged to you)

POS's in high-sec are only allowed to fire on war targets, or players who attack the POS. So if you could anchor a POS at an agent's moon, you could stop your war enemies from using that agent.....

Anchoring and online time depends on the POS. It's not always 30 minutes. But then you also have to anchor and online each weapon 1 at a time. Get's very time consuming depending on what type of setup you want. ======================== Entropy Tech. Oipo II - Moon 19 Ishukone Watch Logistics |

Just like CONCORD doesn't kill gate rats, neither will your POS.
And someone asked about can flagging: nope.
Even a lowsec POS will ignore a canflagged pilot it wouldn't shoot anyways. But it will shoot criminal flagged (the red global criminal countdown, not yellow) ------------- [center]I used to have a sig that I was proud of. And then the mods told me it was slightly too large. Someone tried this already. The POS wouldn't anchor on the moon with a spawn on it.

They may well not anchor at a moon with an agent, too. We already know the anchoring point has to be clear of stuff like cargo cans, etc. - maybe any sort of object in the are makes it impossible to place a POS. Would make sense to do that. ________________________________________________
