I'm asking this because my faction standing with caldari is 3.3, and my standing with caldari navy 7.7. I was wondering if it would be beneficial to actually get the faction standing to 5.0, because i'd love to have access to agents in more areas, even at the cost of spreading LP out. If this will work, is there an efficient way? Do i crawl through CN l4's for the storyline missions, or blast through L2's to do the same, or is it far easier to run the SoE epic arc or something like that? |

Answer to your title question is yes
Blast through L3's, not 2s. Check your datacenter agents for caldari and turn in sets of the cheap tags for a quick standings boost. |

much obliged. I think i'll buy a bunch of copper tags on the market and turn in these l1 data centre missions. |

Having done the low level data center turns in on another character, I can say that I wasn't really impressed with their standing gains. Sure they helped but doing all three sets of career agents for Caldari provided better boosts. Also doing the Amarr career agents provided decent gains as well due to the two factions sharing standings.
Read through the Faction Standing Repair Plan to see all your options for boosting faction standing.

Doing all 3 sets of career agents takes much longer. |

Check out the Caldari Cosmos in succession with Data Centre and you could bump up your Caldari standing to +7 within a few hours.

Thanks guys. It's my understanding the data centre rewards are % gain, so am i right in assuming they gain better benefits the higher my standing is? |

One thing to take into account on standings gains is you Socail Skills. Certain skills will get you better standing gains. |

I wondered this myself one day a while back.
I checked my standings through the character sheet and found I had a +5.* standing with Gallente and a +9.* standing with Fed Navy.
I opened up the agent finder, set it to show all Gallente Federation Corporations, (just select the faction as Gallente Federation or in your case Caldari), and then click on a level on the 1-5 slider above the agent portraits.
I can now run level 4 research agents for Duvolle Labs and Roden Shipyards, or do level 4 security missions for any of the other corporations in Gallente space.
