Looking through the faction battleships, I think the rattlesnake would fit my gaming style the best....
the problem is they are 1.9 billion each.
Is the rattlesnake the best battleship in the game, becasue it is priced that way.
Or is it just the most rare battleship that is actually traded? Where do rattlesnake BPCs come from? agents? complexes?
If i got one of these... I think I would never leave high sec with it. Just scarry how much these cost.

I guess the Rattler is so expensive because there are so many mission runners using the Raven, and for those the Rattlesnake is a natural upgrade (and imho a better one than the CNR), so demand is probably rather high (I want one too). Reason being missile spamming and Gist-shieldtanking being rather overpowered for mission running (Yes yes I know EVE isnt balanced with PvE in mind :P), as well as Caldari being the No.1 pick for n00bs for many reasons.

Imo Navy Raven is better than Rattlesnake (I've had them both). Rattlesnake is rare and has sexy name. That's because it's a lot more expensive  |

i am a very proud owner of a rattlesnake. i have fought about 50-60 battles in it in 0.0 and in aridia. I've been jumped by many blobs and luckily survived. The ship can beat a caldari navy raven anyday. I have fraps of me tanking 8-9 battleships. The reason its so expensive is that if u have the right skills u can't be killed. Don't believe me? Ask around

how are the BPCs gotten for the rattlesnakes then?
is it agent running for pirates? or doing complex running?

Exactly just like a pilot in a crusier with good skills can kill a bad pilot in a battlecrusier.

i personally think the CNR is better with it's 7th missile slot, but not as tankable as the rattle with it's 6 low's

Rattlesnake is the only missileship that got a lot of style. It's not quite as cool as a Vindicator, tho.

ok... but where do the rattlesnake BPCs come from?
are they mission rewards from a pirate faction? are they drops from a complex? or do they drop in level 4 missions?

Mission reward from gurista lvl 4 agent missions (venal region) and BPC drops from gurista 8/10 complexes, but I'd guess only very rarely.

 Cant believe people would choose a CNR over a Rattler... Look at the stats man its obvious 
Get the right little gang and take on the CNR.. bahhh lost a scorp and a mega but i got the mail biyatch.

The Rattlesnake kicks some serious butt. With a good setup and skills, there's nothing short of a blob that will contend with your tank. I'm running 3 ballistic mods and 3 PDS in the lows and even the bonus level of Angel Extravaganza lv 4 can't break it. It's scary to think how hard it would tank if I actually put a full tank setup on it. It is without a doubt the best tank in the game.
In short, it's worth every penny. To get a drop would be like winning the lottery, so if you really want one my advice is to save the money and buy yourself one that way.
