As the title states,what motivations do you have in your life?What drives you onwards(besides survival I guess),accomplishing a dream?power?love?..world annihilation?altruism?..
Please be honest 
Uh as for myself,Im not sure,Im thinking of world annihilation and general mayhem

I am motivated by my desire to not be poor. you said be honest... I grew up very poor. I wanted to ab able to earn anough money so that I can come home after work and not have to get ready to go to a second job. I want to be able to turn on my 32 inch HD TV and Play Table Tennis on My XBOX 360. I want to be able to afford to have able modem so that I can play table tennis via XBOX Live or Play MMO's. I want to be able to get up in the morning and go to my car and drive to work instead of having to take the bus to work. I want to have a job I can be proud of.
I now have all these things and I am motivated to keep them and get more things. I want to buy my own home in the near future, so that is another motivation.
Fpr me, not being poor again is the best motivation I can ever have. I dont really care about world domination ;), I just want my piece of the pie.
and im motivated to learn how to make a cool sig under the limit so it does not get moderated...grrrr....

Pushing my self to the limit. See how far I can go before I fell on my face  . That only applies when I'm motivated.
Bitter & harder work is rewarded usually with even sweeter reward 
EDIT: Roxanna, just out of interest: Have you succeeded then?

I'm motivated by knowledge.
IMO the coolest thing in the world is curiosity: the drive to go figure things out, to learn something new for yourself and others.

Great question... hmm...
My dessire for material things is still alive, but i've pretty much come to the point where i've got what i need, and other things become alot more important(see above).

Right now, motivation is to find a job that doesn't just make ends meet for me. Got 2 bachelor's degrees and a certificate in college, would like to think that i'm capable of more than the crap job i got now, but that's the breaks when you're waiting to hear from the state or feds about a job.
Other than that, find true love (haha), and never have to return to the ****hole town i grew up in, too many ghosts there.

Just find someone to be with and learn more about the world i guess, only thing that truely motivates me is having someone else in my life and being with them :)

well first of all, i have a degree and he hasn't, he is still somewhat richer than me, as he owns a small company (something to do with aircon and heating).
and as far as im concerned at my age he was in the army, than after that he worked in an iol company until he become 38 and decided to invest his money in a business.
i in the otherhand iam still 21 workign as a sales consaltant for now to cover expenses.
its hard when its not your faily but your part time job and loans that paid for your study.
i dont live for him i live for other things in life.

Id have to say, pleasure. And a want/need to do something to be remembered for. Even little things, like im currently working on a project for the eve community. I' am doing it just so i can say to myself.
'Hey i did that'
Problem is i find it hard to finish any one project my attention and energies soon find themselves drifting to something else.

The inevitable sleep deprevation I can bring to others by being that guy on the road that ****es you off, threatens to fight you, drives off in the opposite direction, then keeps you awake thinking about all the horrible things you want to say and do to me! MUAHAHAHA!!

The fact that any day now the Mothership will land and take me back to my home planet. Having served my time on Earth, I will be free to return to my homeworld and work towards being a positive contributing member of society again.
Additionally I hope to start a "Scared Straight" program on my homeworld. I will fly young offenders down to Earth for an afternoon so they can see what it's like.

I cannot tell you what motivates me in life because the mods don't permit discussions of religon in this forum. So I'll go with my second choice...
I am motivated to kill you until you die (in eve, I don't really want to kill you in real life, because life is precious, after all if I killed you in real life then I couldn't kill you over and over again in the game, now can I?)

A few goals for my life:
- Marry a wonderful women that I can be happy with
- Have a few kids, maybe 2 or 3 of them
- Help get humankind established into space, preferably by colonizing Mars (woot ), the Moon is a decent backup idea
- Learn as much as I can about engineering, my field of specialty, and maybe even get more degrees as time goes by in different fields or a greater depth in one of mine...or both
Also still tossing around the idea of doing a tour of duty with the military atm...

I just realized something, while I'd like to do all that, we'll see where He leads me - I've never been really religious but maybe he has greater plans for me (though a little building on Valles Marinerus would be beyond cool, or Tharsis )...

My motivation... heh. I dunno. My wife is one thing, most of what I do in my life, I do for her or with her. Cant get her to play Eve yet, wish I could so she could be my mining slave... I also grew up poor, and actually stayed poor until the last year or so. Now its nice to have money in the bank at the end of the week, and money to do what we want...
