So I'm thinking about getting one of theese for amarr level 4's.
Anyone who has used one in levels 4's are they worth it? over using a pulse/tank apoc? can they do missions faster? slower? same amount of time?
setup i was thinking, though i dont have one yet, just need to get matari BS trained up. so this is all just theoretical, and dont know if it will fit.
-7x megapulse II
-faction large NOS( one of BR or sanshas type ones)
-domination webber
-4x cap recharger II
-centus x-type LAR
-3x centus hardeners
-2x heatsink II
-1 cap relay
would the centus x-type LAR and 3 centus hardeners be enough to tank say, worlds collide? or enemies abound? basicly i mean the hardest of the L4's
Any suggestions about setup are welcome.

Seriously, using a faction bs for missions is rather posh. You're just setting yourself up to lose that hearse to a server glitch for no practical reason.

Get yourself a ship better affordable in case losing to the bugs kown to us all...random ctd and lag spikes are not your friend in some missions and loggin back in a pod from such a nice ship as the Bhaalgorn is :)

You cant loose a bhaalgorn if you have the skills at the right places and if you know if you can take on the mission or not. It doesnt matter if you crash or not cuz the tank can run till you logged back in. I personally can do about 90% of all lvl4 with my bhaalgorn but it takes some serious ISK to fit it properly. Its just that for some missions you should take another ship cuz its more effective.

I love my baal for level IV missions...
8 megapulse II
2 faction webbers and three cap rechargers...
Then faction hardeners, 2 heat sink II, and then whatever...
The double webbers let you kill frigs at around 18000meters.
Use one webber and 4 megapulse per frig, --once they get close, then double web them and then they pop fast too...
Spider drone II also double web and SPLAT too.
Thus the dream of this ship is using the 8 large turrents with no tracking problems.
Also for all the drone missions, other posters have pointed out that many drones now orbit at 11km to 18km, thus the baal will easily kill those drones where the smartbomb bs won't...
Note, you still have T1 resists, so ANY faction bs is a risk in a L4. However, it pays for itself so fast and is so clean to operate with no warpouts, reloads, switching fittings constantly that the peace of mind is well worth the expense. |
