Edited by: Antirium IV on 08/06/2006 07:58:06 Been pondering over a Poc NOS setup and so far av just come up with this...
High Slots 4 800mm Repeating Artillary II 4 Heavy Diminishing Power System Drain I
Mid Slots 1 14km Faction Web 1 'Hypnos' Multispec 1 Fleeting Scram 1 Heavy Capacitor Booster II
Low Slots 2 Large Armour Rep II 3 Energised Adaptive Nano II 1 Reactive Plating II 1 Magnetic Plating II (or faction ones if I can find any)
Drones 5 Medium Drone II (Exp)
opinions ? Or post something that you think is better.
With my skills that gives
80 / 72 / 74 / 67 resists, and the 2 reps will hold out up untill the point your targets cap dies. then start with the boosters if needed

Edited by: Vishnej on 08/06/2006 08:09:01 2 carriers at a deployed POS, with 4 fighters each assigned to the 4 apocs, each with 8 heavy neutralizers each A bunch of plates/hardeners in lows, and a cap battery or three in meds
1 minmatar battlePOS with large artillery preventing battleships from being on the field
Warpin on sieged dreads, lock + activate + assign targets for the fighters, align away, and warp right after second activation 24 seconds after lock. Carriers recall drones after the covops announces a dead dread, a minute or two later.
That's your formula for effective guerilla anti-siege.

Eh ? Interesting stuff but The OP seems more concerned about killing BS and smaller than dreadnoughts Anyway, your apoc dps will be very low, so you'd better imho swap 1 or 2 nos for heavy energy neutralizers so your targets cap dies faster

that's just the only thing I think the apoc really excels at with energy stuff.
As for your setup - cut the crap with platings, especially if you're up to using faction things on a PvP setup.
Using a mixed 'poc, especially one with another race's guns, is sort of hard to justify - it does all of the above badly, except for maybe tanking.

4x mega pulse, 1 or 2 heavy neuts, 2 or 3 nos.
normal mids with injector
2x large repper, normal tank

Edited by: Vishnej on 08/06/2006 09:13:55 Solo, a mixed 'poc just isn't where it's at.
As part of a gang with a tackler and a damage dealer, though....
Here's a just-fits nosfergeddon that can tank indefinitely, and saps the cap of anything below a battleship instantly: 6x heavy named NOS / 2x heavy named NEUTs 1x XL-C5L shield booster / 1x SB2 / 2x named invuln fields 8x cap power relays
'Poc setup coming soon, got halfway through quickfit before I realized it was a geddon :)

Edited by: Adelai Niska on 08/06/2006 09:35:50 4x heavy diminishing NOS 2x heavy unstable NEUT 2x large smartbomb II
1x warp disruptor 1x named webber 1x XL C5-L shield booster (to tide you over until energy is sapped) 1x sensor booster II
7x cap power relays
This provides some assistance against drones and torps, two shortrange weapons that you can't kill with NOS. I like the CPRs because A) they're cheap enough to use in PvP, unlike cap recharger II's, and B) in quantity, the stacking penalty reduces their malus to nil, making them much, much more effective than power diagnostic units.
Tank will last a little longer with a eutectic in place of the sensor booster, you'll just lose the ability to target a lot of things faster than they can warp out. Can't say they'll be expecting your setup though :)
