Hi TallentTaint,
What graphic card you got in your computer and do you have the latest drivers for it installed?

Ok here is the problem. The Riva TNT/TNT2 is not supported by EvE. What you can do and try is to go to the Nvidia website and look up the newest driver for it. If it still doesnt work, im sorry, but you need to get yourself a new graphic card.
Click me for graphic cards that are supported for EvE.
Best of luck.

About graphics cards, there are many cheap cards that can run EVE. Sure you can pay $1400 for top of the line dual SLI, but you can also drop 80-100 bucks and get an older card that will run fine. Running a TNT2, I guess you aren't using PCI/E. AGP cards have really come down in price, so I'm sure you could find a nice Radion 9550 with 256meg, or a midrange GForce 5500 or 6200 for relatively cheap. I would go with the nVidia personally, because when they release new drivers, the card actually runs better than spec. ATI, on the other hand, releases patches that correct errors on the card, making sure that the card runs up to the indicated specs.
Just my 2 isk.....
But if you are running an older system, don't splurge on an expensive video card. You can find a good card on NewEgg or Tiger Direct for less than $150... just make sure that it uses its own RAM, and that it doesn't steal system RAM (many cheap video cards use "shared" memory).
Good Luck!

Heres the solution to the problem with your mom.
Go into the settings of your graphic card. Adjust the color correction to make everything look neon green.
Grab your mom, Tell her look at your machine, then you say. "I need a new video card, see, this ones all messed up"
If in the case that your mom is more computer savy, you may have to get nasty with the video card, take it out, plan an "accident" cut the wrong wire... oops.
He mom my computer wont turn on... if she checks it out, she will see you need a new video card.
there ya go...
