First thing's first, there are a small handful of Tech 2 damage controls in game. They came from events and I have heard that they change hands for billions. They are slightly better than these damage controls in resistances but also a lot higher in fitting requirements. These damage controls are a rare COSMOS item.
Here's the stats of the radical damage control: Low slot. 14.5% to all armour resistances 12% to all shield resistances 59% to all hull resistances Activation duration: 30.00 sec Energy usage: 1 energy CPU: 15 TF (10 less than a Tech 1 damage control, 2 less than the best named damage control) Powergrid: 1MW
And most importantly (and this is intended, not a bug), it is NOT affected by stacking penalty. If you have two 25% adaptive nanos on your ship, this will actually yield MORE resistance than adding a third. To me, that's impressive. Damage controls have become essential use on any battleship shield or armour tank. The bonuses conveyed make it more useful than a Power Diagnostic System II on a shield tank and better than another hardener on an armour tank, with the added bonus of being practically power-free and hardening your hull to give you a good few more seconds to escape should your tank fail.
Three of them for sale, auctions separate. Bidding on more than one signifies that you wish to buy more than one, please don't just bid on them all if you only want one.

If I had set a reserve, I would just make that the minimum bid now, wouldn't I? ;). The purpose of a hidden reserve is to let people know that under circumstances, I may not sell. It's insurance against the bidding not getting high enough. Just bid what you're willing to pay and if you win, chances are I'll sell :). Especially for my friends in Veritas Immortalis :).

That's right, none of the damage controls are affected by stacking penalty :). This just happens to be the best damage control, however :).

I am not doubting you, but can you elaborate why having this module in place of another armor hardener is better?

I think he meant better than a 3rd adaptive nano

Well basically, it doesn't get hit with stacking penalty. If you have, for example, two adaptive nanos fitted, the first is multiplied by 1 (full effect, 25%), the second by 0.87 to give 21.75%. Then if you go to add a third, it gets multiplied by 0.57 to give 14.25. This damage control gives 14.5% straight up, even after two adaptive nanos. It also gives shield resistance, hull resistance, uses practically no energy and has lower fitting requirements. It's just plain better :).

sorry
No problem. It's worth it for missionrunning etc. and since it's the best damage control in the game. I am considering keeping one and using it on my own tank (it would increase the maximum DPS I can tank by a substantial amount) but if you're taking the ship into PvP or something, just go with the best named one.
Something like this should be treated ths same way as corpum gear or faction stuff. They're worth more because they're the best but you don't fit it to a ship you expect to lose ^^;.

Shame that 150mil was retracted, the bidding could well get that high judging by the responses it's getting :).

Thanks.
But there is no market value, these items are rare and as such they are worth as much as people will pay for them, hence the auction.

I understand, thanks. The use of the term "another" was a bit confusing. It would have made more sense had you said "better than adding a THIRD hardener". I assumed "another" meant one more than whatever I was currently using. I use two 64% hardeners. Replacing one of those with your module would do me harm (yeah... blah blah about hull and shield... not important). Thanks for the explanation though.

I saw you edited my post. It wasnt to ruin his auction, people pay the price they want and besides its a rare cosmos item.
Consider this a free bump and gl with your auction _________________________________________________
