We at STK Scientific have decided to shut our doors and close down our production. We have been going very strong since the release of eve and for a small sized corp we have planned well and gained much.
We shut down due to lack of people. The last 2 patches have lost us 70% of our active player base and the last patch made some key corp members quit eve.
Those of us who are left want to play eve out to its final conclusion and still believe it can be great and we desire to build an empire (stations, control areas etc)
STK Currently has about 2 Billion isk worth of assets. This is Calculated from the Origional BP's we have including the BS bp's, cash of 500mil roughly, various players equiped with BS's etc.
We are looking for a decent sized corp who want to create an empire. But we would like one who aren't over rigid especially considering we have a decent aussie player base and cant do corp things when were not on at your prime.
We seek a corp who will suit our needs and benefit from what we have achieved.
I myself would like to obtain some power in the new corp if possible especially considering the assets we will be passing over.

Good luck to your crew. It's nice to see you ppl being realistic and deal with things as they are rather than hope for miracles. Too many corps wait far too long to realize that, then ppl will bleed away slowly rather than stay together. And plenty will leave the game rather than feeling like they have to start fresh with a new corp.
Mergers are tricky in any MMO, but especially Eve where the corp hangars and wallets are so vulnerable. Galactex did pretty much the same thing when they merged into SW, and AFAIK that worked out for them. DE has worked several smaller mergers to everyone's satisfaction, so feel free to contact me if you like and I can put you in touch with ppl who have the juice to negotiate things like this.

Ahh, Oktoberfest in Melbourne, the only event where drinking yourself stupid in the rain is considered normal.
Oh as for STK closing down, nooooooooooooooo...
I remember when you guys first formed, I laughed my ass off, finally some aussies in the game with me, congrats on what you have achieved, my suggestion is to stick it out and control the universe on your own, or join up with techell, I hear they need some more pilots :)

Temerlyn - we are based in the same region as you are now. We have completed one merger in the past and everything worked out wonderfully with it. We are also Military Partners in the CFS and I will try to contact you in game.
That is if you want to stay in the area.

We have just merged with a long standing ally to form a new corp and are looking to expand. We have a wide range of people in our corp dotted over the international timelines, I'll try and contact you in game to have a chat.

It is a major regret to close down the doors as we have achieved so much with so little. I would still love to hold onto the STK Name. But alas as stated we have to be realistic, no point flogging a dead horse.
But i have been impressed with the response in such a short time and it has given me some new hope in eve.
The future is an unwritten book....

Rona maybe your answer to your problems. So far we have completed 2 very succesful mergers one of which i was apart. We are looking to expand our ranks and become a honourable superpower within eve.
It is probabley best you talk to our CEO Robeyone as he would be able to help you the most.
