I'm currently flying a Raven for Level 4 missions and was looking for some advice as to what's overall more valuable to switch from Tech 2 to faction gear? And approximately what type of ISK numbers are we talking here?
I assume that the most immediate upgrades would be to swap into faction shield boosters, boost amps, hardeners. So like DG boosters/boost amps and Pith hardeners? How about damage controls?
Any thoughts would be appreciated, Regards, Lickety

Most faction modules depending on their type are worth from 20mill to 100mill isk, and I don't even mention officer modules unless I was very rich I would prefer tech 2.
But I am not familiar with the mods themselves, so I can't comment on their performances compared to tech 2.

You're fitting will easily cost more then the ship.

Gist boosters. I think what makes the Raven so powerful is not merely the ship, a good part of it is the insane efficiency of gist shield boosters (both money- and cap-wise).

i use a pith B-Type XL on my cnr, missions you dont really need the effiecny of the gist boosters, pith with a dread boost amp gives me a tidy 990 boost every 4 secs combined with 59% hardners i have never had a promblem

Gist XL booster and Dread Guristas Boost Amp are the most obvious and cost efficient upgrades. With these, you will laugh while tanking most level4s.

Looking at those numbers, the armor tanker in me wants to cry Oh well. If only I could get a faction medium shield booster for my Cyclone. If only they were available

Unless it takes you ten minutes to count the number of digits in your bank balance i'd say faction loot is not to be used. If you can run missions fine with t2, then do it.
However : For the most part the progression is t2 -> faction -> deadspace. Within the shield tanking genre, Gistii had great cap useage for normalish stats, Pith has insane stats for a greater amount of cap (i think anyway.. might be the same usage as t2).
The best investment from my point of view is a good boost amp. This will improve your performance, but not mess around with your cap or fitting or whatever. If your having problems tanking or literally nothing better to spend your money on then grab whatever floats your boat.
And to the guy above me:
Medium booster ? On a cyclone ? Why would you do that ? I have enough fitting left on my to be seriously considering replacing my large with an XL.... so why medium ?

Well I don't know what kind of a fit you guys are using, but with my arty-setup and skills (electronics 4, weapon upgrades 4) there's just not enough CPU left to fit a large booster At least not simultaneously with a standard tech 1 shield boost amplifier, which is a CPU hog (and cap-wise medium faction booster + amp > large booster without amp) and damage mods. I would fit a large booster of course if I could without changing anything else. Or I could drop a damage mod, but in most level 3 missions damage mod is more helpful than a better booster. Though I guess I could swap in the better booster when I know I'll need it. But can't afford a large Gist B just yet anyway. Will see

Ive been thinking about getting a decent armor rep for my domi, but just 1 core x-type is 1.5x the current total cost of my ship . I just dont think its finacially worth it, the ship could go boom anytime and the current cost is easily replacable for me.

If I can safely assume you know the missions well - and thus do not lose your ship, then your priority is to minimize time spent. You do this by fitting the best officer items in the game. This way I freed up a few slots on my machariel which were in turn filled with damage modifiers and torpedo launchers.
If you go this multi-billion route - death is no longer an acceptable option though.

Your point?
My mission fit costs about 8-10 times the price of a machariel. And it works like a charm
