Just got one of those stupid isk selling things via evemail from 'loveyoubbc.' I know there was a post about this, but it kinda ticked me off a bit... so i'm venting.
Blocked his -bleep- & petitioned it, since Kieron said that's the thing to do.
what's interesting is this
My character has barely been online for the past two days. In addition to that, he's not in the most popular of systems. The mail wasn't there when I logged off w/6 in local, but was late tonight.
My question is this, there isn't a way to get a mass mailing list in eve is there? Or possibly... mass mail in general? If there is, then I apologize, but I rarely use the dam thing.
Just wondering...

petition them, screenshot the evemail, keep the mail...etc, the GMs can, and hopefully will, track them down and ban their asses, it's getting annoying as hell.

You convo them, and get nothing back. They ALL hide in noob corps.
I think this applies to almost all week or less old players to be honest. As a new player (a loooong time ago) I mined. Alot. That was pretty much it. Plus if someone convo'ed me I'd probably not reply for fear of sounding stupid and noobish until I got the hang of the game.

Im sure CCP could find transactions on escrow involving very large sums of isk for small amounts of trit and ban the ISK accounts. After all, if they dont have billions of isk to sell they wont send the mails.

i got exact same mail from exact same person several days ago. petitioned got a responce in an hour. not sure if they banned him by then because i dont remember what time exactly i got it
petitioned under 'harassment' gave the GM a copy of the mail and told him i hadn't deleted it, was viewable in my inbox if necessary
right route to take? i feel that there will be plenty more of this some time in the future

these guys are 5-7 months into the game.

i have had a couple of those lately
petitioned them both, and both times got a nice mail from ccp sayign the character was now banned \o/
i just copy/pasted the entire mail into the petition and sent it off.
gives you a nice warm glow when ccp send you that, they are banned mail

No mass mailing list is necessary when they can simply scan the first couple of pages in the forum for character names.

its not that complex even...
search in people and places for BLA, ADU, BIL, MA, or any two or three letter combo you can imagine.... and then just start right clicking and pasteing...and sending

But that glow wears off quick when you realise they are only trial accounts created for the sole purpose of spamming us.
The one I reported was banned according to the reply I got from my petition. They will just be back with another trial account to do it again. Even if they get one sale from every 20 bans, they have made a customer who will probably come back several times.
