Already searched the boards, and didn't really find an answer...
I'm just curious as to whether or not anyone has attempted to clear the final deadspace area at the end of Human Cattle 5/5, where you have Apocalypses, Geddons, among other baddies. I'd guess probably ~30-40 baddies at least, mostly frigates. Anyway, you warp in ~120 km from them, and you can see another acceleration gate on the other side...
Anyway, I was too chicken to try to clear it out, as when you ID'd some of the frigates it mentioned warp scrambling, and I didn't want to be stuck there in case EVERYTHING pulled at once

Got a huge fright once. When crawling slowly towards them moving up to about 100km so I could look at them using the camera. All of a sudden quite a number of them start locking and fire.
I was in a frigate at the time and all my shield, armour and half my hull vapourised almost instantly. I've never seen anything hit at that sort of range before. It could have been Amarr sentry guns I guess. At this point I decided to run for my life and did manage to get away before the next volley.
Never tried it again I must admit.

In the last Stage, the one with the whole navy fleet in it, you only have to kill one frig, thats near you ... the other NPC's are far out (130km) and you dont have to kill them.

The question wasn't whether you need to kill them or not, the question is has anyone done it.
I've been thinking about that too:)

Well, I got some of my corp members and other friends to do this with, tech2 snipers and it (according to them) was not too hard. No bounties and no special loot tho.

Edited by: Gal''tashec on 15/06/2006 08:12:06 I've done it a few times with a group of friends. Its not that hard. I've even done it in a single bs + cruiser setup.
You get a horrible standings hit if you do it a couple of times though
As for loot. Got a bunch of tags worth 15-20m (combined value in a single run) or so and a few times a nice drop 14-20m (like a good launcher etc) --- Author of A guide to buying bookmarks |

Edited by: Mike Yagon on 15/06/2006 08:19:52 They're just Amarrian pansies, tank against EM and Thermal and it's really not that hard. *edit* Disclaimer: Don't try in a frigate though, you'll need atleast one battleship.

Now I know what I will try after the downtime.
Megathron with 5 rails (not 6!), drone augmentor and 2x heavy launcher with em missiles.
And then some dead Amarr scum. OMG.
