/me owns Transformers: The Movie on both VHS and DVD.
It's about time too, at the end of the movie they said Optimus Prime would return and i've only had to bloody wait 20years for it to happen.

I think it's this quote that caused the original VHS to be a "U" certificate but the DVD to become a "PG", although they did use that on the DVD quite a few times as the soundtrack to the gallery.
And as someone previously said they better have a decent rock soundtrack, either a new one or just dig up some of the Spectre Generals Tune's and just play them (Yes i own the soundtrack aswell)
They can't leave out the dinobots can they? and they better keep that transforming sound.
And for all future posters a quick survey.... Megatron or Galvatron (as voiced by Leonard Nimoy (or Spock for those without a clue about anything))

Megatron was a whining bi0tch, Galvatron actually had some stones and a pretty good ray gun.
BTW I herd Citroen is making Transformers now: Linkage

The original Transformers series were glorious, the original movie was excellent, the 'new' series is a piece of horse sh*te.
Please god let be like it was when i was a kid.

He already returned at the end of the original series, after it followed the events of the movie. I think it was the final story arc in it.
*Edit* Is it sad that I remember that even though I haven't seen the series in about 20 years?

I was always more of a fan of Transformers beast wars. What can I say Im just not that into cars. Though ill go and see the movie just to see optimus say "Autobots Roll OUT!"

I'd fall about all over the place laughing if everyone got really worked up about this movie and when it finally arrives, the voice of Optimus was done by Julian Clary.
