GRaphics are great much better than E&B
but...
interface sucks, fact that you can die and loose ur skills sucks (i know .. there are insurance and cloning still, far better to have some say money charge for death, why would i loose my skills after investing so much time into building them, then u die and be to squear one - sux (what if u forgot insurance, weeks and weeks of playing are LOST ?!!!!!?!!!) navigation sucks, upgrading skills is boring !!!! - (kicking it off and going to sleep) Why do u think it is fun plucking asteroids for hours for Ore????? should be other easy ways of making money for begginers
I laso think players should be allowed shoot other players ONLY if their Corporations are at WAR !!!!
No grouping and grouping bonuses ??!! No wormholes ability !!???
patentially could be a great game but ATM it is VERY boring
Folks pls fix those things, in the mean time I'll go back to my Earth and Beyond Characters
I actually hope it will improve as I liked tha graphics a lot and fact that I can improve and change the weapons and that i can buy different ships, improve them, and have multiple ships too at the same time

Edited by: Bashier Tarr on 25/09/2003 17:03:18 ..interface sucks...
really? what don't you like about it?
..fact that you can die and loose ur skills sucks...
Yes it does, it makes you FEAR death. Not embrace it as a minor nuisance.
...navigation sucks...
It does? Compared to the stick-to-the-space-highways-barely-any-exploration of EnB?
upgrading skills is boring !!!!
And doing prasad runs for 36 hours straight to get a trade level is fun.
Why do u think it is fun plucking asteroids for hours for Ore?????
Do you think it's fun doing 3 trash missions every 15 minutes for entire days to get explore levels after 30?
I laso think players should be allowed shoot other players ONLY if their Corporations are at WAR !!!!
That would be the end of piracy, which is one of the driving gears of EVE's economy (the omega bit)
No grouping and grouping bonuses ??!!
Uhh... form gang?! form corp?! formation bonuses?! strength in numbers?!
No wormholes ability !!???
You mean as in "click button - appear in opposite corner of galaxy"? Yeah, it's coming, jump drives, but it's not like EnB's "click button - appear 1000 light years away in a completely different galaxy as often as you want". It will be likely limited in range and frequency of use.
patentially could be a great game but ATM it is VERY boring
It is what you make of it
Have fun in EnB, I sure didn't.

You can't just compare the two games like that. The only thing EnB and EVE have in common is the fact that they are both on-line and happen in space. EnB is alot less complex than EVE, and has good and bad points. I was in the EnB beta, and played it for about 6 months. But the constant level up thing was just too boring. Job terminals...nuf said. Eve has more things to do, and is alot more realistic. The players have the ability to control the direction of the game, where EnB is driven by NPC missions and a rigid storyline.
Both games have their good and bad points. And if you are in the mood for a nice relaxing fun evening EnB would be it. But EvE has alot more to offer, and alot more to give in the future. There are things in EvE that could be improved, but the game is still young.

I remember those days. They've been branded into my mind. I can't remember what I ate yesterday, but I remember the Prasad runs.
