If the forums are down, how did you manage to post?

Level3 just closed the connection for a couple of seconds on the hop to the EVE server farm. --*=*=*-- Megadon CCP wanted a well known artist and celebrity to test the new font so it's approval would be well known. They got Ray |

im from scotland aswell mate and my connection is buggered.
so much lag.. running 14kb connection on which is meant to be a 8mb connection..
But a friend told me It could be because of the weather we have gotten lately..
Dog p*ss and Rain getting into the exchange box's because they are not water tight and condensation .. and when it get hot it affects the kit inside them.

Best advice is to download pingplotter and check where the problem is.

that does happen mate but more for adsl and i am on cable and i know this as i work/worked for both an adsl and cable isp

this sounds spot on and was my first thought as both me and my corp mate both lost connection and we are with the same isp blueyonder , and both our internet connections didn't go down as we both talked about it on msn
even when i tried to post this message i got the panic bubble stab message as if the forums are down
our isp could have certainly been to blame but if it was i think there might have be more people moaning
think of those tech II vespas out there on there own cold and scared

did you get booted about 20mins before downtime ? and when you go to forums are you getting the message as if the forums are down sometimes ?

I'm in England rather than Scotland. I have been getting periodic error messages from the forum (thread does not exist, etc.) but have had no disconnections from the client today.

I have mutliple ctd's and then the server repeatedly not connecting to the IP then the forums not being available, refresh enough times and it works, eventually.
Same with logging into the game, try 8-10 times, it works, but incredibly slow, even though normal pings come back at <35 ms...
very wierd

i too could not get passed the char selection screen. a couple times eve counted as around 70 peeps online too. forums were having trouble too loading.
tried for 45 mins to get on to skill, but had to go to work in the end (ah well whats another 9 hours not skilling grrr)
england - blueyonder too, but normal connection was fine as i had a download which reached 1268kb/s (rar to 10mb service)
/emote tries to sneak home early to skill

I've been having the same problems, over in Edinburgh here. Each time I have used pingplotter, the packet loss has been quite high, and I have noticed that Level3 has been changing its routes everynow and then. Looks like it could be their problem

Previously mentioned corp mate here.
After DanMck lost connection, I was still able to move, so was guarding said "poor wee drones" till he got connected again - and the rats respawned.
I tried to warp out - nothing I tried to move - nothing
I was able to move after DanMck lost connection - not for long though.
Then I was disconnected too.
Came back to my egg and no "poor wee drones" (at least they will be warmer wherever they are now).
As mentioned while disconnected and unable to re-connect we were able to convo on IM.
Before disconnecting overview was a bit iffy too - showing wrong distance for cans etc - was unable to refresh overview.

as above my connection is fine overall , ping times to www.bbc.co.uk are average 21ms this is never a true test but still gives you an idea connection overall is ok
download speeds perfect , other websites fine
...just eve and eve forums
pings do seem all over the place sometimes to the forum, but just now they are fine
but there is no pattern to it for me , will start to note the path i am taking via level 3 as someone mentioned as the routing looks to be the issue

wtb 5 vepsa II drones in 0.0 can someone deliver ?

Same problem here, I'm near London on NTL and I've been having similar problems since Monday. I saw no mention of it on the forums so I assumed it was a problem with my stuff...not so sure now :S

NTL/Blueyonder Issues, in other news, the pope is catholic.
NTL is the worst service provider of *anything* ever. They once sold a friend cable when there was physically no cable leading to his house, they wanted to go to court over him refusing to pay the bill.

I've had problems with my ISP too recently, so it could either be it or Eve, there are times when i cant tell what's causing the problem.

Ntl has allways been a case of where your at.
You live in a over subbed area, you get screwed over and ignored.. or atleast it was a few years ago, tbh iv'e not followed it in recent years, so things could have changed with that.
Iv'e had ntl in 3 different houses, it's never been nothing but **** hot for me... But then i live in nice rural areas, hardly over subbed, most people stupid rich and ignorant enough around where i live just go with bt..
My bonus ______ Long ago one gorgeous night, we let the stars grow free. We let Zhuge do that once, he came back carrying a traffic cone, a forsale sign and three empty bottles of dutch lager. He also lost his Zimmer Frame... - Imaran
