Just tried a hisec ghost site (Lesser Sansha Covert Research).
Trying to cargo scan the containers results in empty scans.
Trying to data analyze the containers results in "No further tools are needed to access the Secure Depot (Secure Depot)."
Trying to open the container results in "You cannot access the Secure Depot (Secure Depot) without specialized equipment."
I'll hang around for a bit longer but I don't think any NPCs are going to show up either; been here a while already.

This same issue seems to be affecting Contested Guristas Covert Research sites too. Maybe I'll go look for a generic data site next... |

I haven't even managed to find any ghost sites yet and I've gone 70+ jumps so far in nullsec.

On a similar note the new contested guristas sites in hisec don't seem to be despawning once the can is hacked |

Edit: Just found out the build failed so that will be the patch tomorrow.
Still seem to be broken -- ive just did three in a row with no loot in the cans. This is the Guristas ghost sites.

The plain jane data sites are working fine.
Yeah, it's annoying. As per CCP (and the behavior I'm seeing), some (all?) contested/ghost sites are not despawning after completion. Combined with the bug that you can't access a can a second time once it's hacked, there's a lot of empty, inaccessible sites out there.
I have successfully hacked both ghost and contested sites that I was the first to reach, however, so the upfront part seems to work. |

I just had a similar error in a Relic site. I successfully completed a container, but was unable to access the contents, or run the Relic Analzyer again. I submitted a bugreport.

After today's patch (as of 15 minutes ago), I'm seeing a lot of issues in data and relic sites in null.
Twice failed cans do not explode, and stay on-grid, appearing as full. They are not selectable though.
Once all cans are completed (either accessed, or failed), site does not despawn, does not remove itself from Scanner window.
Also (not sure if this is a bug or not), having 12 restoration nodes and 3 virus suppressors on a green-level can seems a bit much., especially for the 25k in loot it contained.  |

I tried 5 of the new Guristas sites today after the patch and they do seem to despawn now. However, of those 5:
1 failed, tower depsawned and the site shortly after (as expected)
3 successful hacks, tower despawned immediately and the site shortly after; couldn't grab the data
1 the data analyzer would cycle on the tower but nothing would happen and eventually the tower despawned and the site shortly after |

There have been a bunch of issues... primarily with COSMOS sites that have been ironed out. There have also been some fixes for other miscellaneous problems that should be coming out soon. Apologies for the loot spew removal not going quite as smoothly as hoped but I think we've cracked all the problems now.

Think at this point I am just gonna buy a ship off the market once the market stabilizes unless CCP wants to give me back pay for all the goofy sites. |

Just ran a lesser serpentis covert research in hisec. Site already had one opened can so I expected the guards to turn up and try and melt me...nothing. Opened the remaining 3 cans and all were empty and still no guards turned up...Need to borrow a bigger iron for those little wrinkles in the release? :D
Edit: The site is in Aice and still hasn't despawned 10 minutes after I ran it and opened all cans... |

Free bump for this thread as I've just entered two ghost sites after downtime and all the containers in both were unopened, but empty. There was also no NPC fleet drop and the sites themselves still haven't de-spawned either. I thought this was supposed to be fixed Sad Face.

I've tracked down the issue that causes sites to get stuck and submitted a fix that should be patched in tomorrows update.
