This thread is depressing.
I went out with her for a year. She convinced herself she had to go on a holy quest and become a nun and take a vow of celebacy. Then she started going out with someone else. Everyone told me it'd get better with time. Well it's been over a year and it's not getting any easier. It's just gotten steadilly more difficult and more painful.

been married for 8 years. Wife is not the game junkie that I am, she likes to play puzzles and stuff. but we joke around and stuff, and have a nice comfortable relationship.

my wife hates this game with a passion refers to it as "the other women in my life"
she once actually left me over it and then came back.
She *****es whenever I turn it on goes in a huff when i come on late at night because she is going to bed she automatically thinks i should be going to bed.
She doesn't seem to understand i have been playing ames since i was 10 years old what the f**k makes her think i am gonna stop just because i got married.I don't drink i don't blow all our money on crap I don't mistreat her and all i get is s**t for it .EVE is my only real treat all my other money goes on buying her f**king clothes and shoes. She just doesn't get the community aspect of EVE at all.

I love my missus to bits, but she's got such complete double standards.
Prime example. If I play eve in any way, shape or form when she's round, I get moaned at that i'm being boring and that I care more about games than her
THEN, I go over to hers on Saturday, to find her engrossed in Morrowind on the Xbox for 8 HOURS! I couldn't even get a grunt out of her in that time
To add insult to injury, I got made to feel guilty for having a sleep while waiting for her to tear herself away from it!!
Still, she's a great cook, and, err, quite 'open minded' shall we say, so I can't complain really!

My girlfriend's a cute gamer chick... generally I find her playing action games (eg. Devil May Cry 3) or RPGs (eg. Neverwinter Nights) though he finds EVE boring  .
I've got on with her much better than any other girlfriend I've had really. She lets me sit and play on EVE for well over 10 hours a day when I need to and I'm very grateful for that ^_^

My ex wouldn't let me play eve when she was in the house, would immediately whinge about that "bloody game". I ended up ending it for different reasons (EVE isn't important to make that decision on, lol).

Been with my current girlfriend quite a while. (I dont know why men refer to them as their current girlfriend... suggests your planning ahead doesnt it? maybe it'll keep her on her toes o0)
She doesnt know about Eve lol.
But she doesnt mind, I've done random things like staple myself to the yellow pages in a peculiar place and she just smiles (with pity I think).
34G tho.... cant complain. Just need to find her a hobby lol.

I think I've got it quite good...
Bought my wife a 42" plasma, she bought me an uber pc.
She gets to watch any TV/etc she wants, I get to play EVE whenever I want.
Been married 10 years and we're still happy  (no kids but maybe thats why we're still together and happy ).
