Sorry if it seems silly but who's the ioctl.Im guessing hes one badass pvper.But what happen to him,did he stop playing or something worse...

What does 'ioctl' mean? And how did he get the nickname? (Or was it his char name?)

An ioctl is a computing term.
Often, when io went looking for a fight, he would complain that people wouldn't face him even if they outnumbered him or had a superior class of ship. One day I commented, "That's because you're teh ioctl" and the nickname stuck.
As for why he chose ioctl for his name in the first place, I'm not sure, but he did have a background in computing.
