Yeah so me and my fiance (Tarja Sangre) head out to the NIN concert here in Raleigh, NC (USA). I was suppost to buy tickets but of course forgot to. She ended up buying some off the net for like 20 a piece. We got the dead freaking last row. The complex was outside so we had the last row before lawn seats . It was no biggie really, I was happy just being there. So after the first band gets done I head to the bathroom. Which I lied and went to the front gate. I hit the box office and what do you know "Pit Row" still has TICKETS! So I plot down 43.00 dollars a piece (Not bad IMHO) and get us from WAYYYYY in the back to 5 feet from Trent and Jordie (Twiggy from Marilyn Manson).
It was a AWWWWWEEESSOOOOOMME SHOW! Standing right before the whole band and before thousands of screaming fans =)

Edited by: Yolan on 10/06/2006 08:31:14 I have seen NiN four times now, the 1st being way back around 1993 and they are never anything less then totally AWESOME!
No gimmicks, no bull**** speeches in between songs just pure blow your brains out non stop industrial rock
ps their newer stuff works far better live than it does on cd, even though I enjoyed the new stuff on cd anyhow, although broken is still the best work trent has put out closely followed by tds.

Well I'm not a big fan of there newer stuff but the first song they opened with was new and it was pretty good. I'm just happy I herd Sin and Something I could never have live.

Edited by: Star Commander on 10/06/2006 16:07:09 NIN are an abomination to the music i loved, i.e. Industrial, (getting on here by the way, i feel old just typing this )
So many bands were better at it, but at the time Trent Reznor led the way with NIN, (he was quite a charasmatic dude).
Gimme Frontline Assembly any day of the week, they ROCKED !!!
Hope you enjoyed the gig tho

NIN isn't emo. They predate the emo movement. You start calling them emo you open the door for everyone, from the Cure to Phil Collins, being called emo. ------------------------ The Almighty says this must be a fashionable fight. It's drawn the finest people. - an Amarr Mercenary |

pah, that Bethoven, what a whining emo kid... writing angst about his "Immortal Beloved" all day, going on about not hearing stuff, getting all political with Napoleon, writes angsty letters about girls he can't pull, wears tights around court...

Pretty Hate Machine was the first CD I ever bought (prior to that it was still all tapes). Still own that CD, and still love it.
