I've been looking at starting up a personal POS, mostly for refining and lab work, and I've been trying to figure out what it is going to cost me per month at 0% cpu/pg use and 100% cpu/pg use for a large Caldari Tower. I've gotten various answers from POS calc's and people in game so I wanted to see if there was a consensus on the costs.
Currently, with Sov my answers have ranged from 52/93 mil a week, to the exact same numbers but per month(this being a HUGE difference). Figure I'll be purchasing everything in the Khanid region.

For a small pos about 50 - 60 mil per month.
For a medium about 100 - 120 odd.
And for a large it will be around 200 - 220.

Thats for Gallente towers anyway, not ever looked at Caldari ones so not sure if theres much of a difference.

You can get by at around 35/55mil per week if you buy your fuels at low prices. Look in Tash-Murkon for trade fuels, and in/around Jita for your ice fuels.

It costs us 10m a week to run our small tower, with sov... That means a large would cost you 40m a week, or about 160m a month.
EDIT: To answer the question of if there's any difference between towers in terms of fuel useage... There isn't, besides a different type of isotope. Typically, using a Caldari tower in Caldari's corner of space is cheaper than using it in, say, Amarr's corner; you pay a bit of a premium for isotopes that have to be hauled in from another region.

do towers use different amounts of heavy water/liquid ozone depending on how heavy the usage is? or is it just a "the tower is running, so it uses exactly what it says it uses." regardless of how much of the cpu/pg you're using?

yes
at no mods(it's just a big bubble waiting to be shot), a small Gallente tower uses 0 liquid Oz and Heavy Water
the same tower at 99.6% grid, 84.12% cpu(per the excel sheet linked in the sticky), it uses about 6400 Liquid Oz and 5400 Heavy Water per week(rounding up)
