Goonswarm or whatever it is they are called I had a run in with them and was wondering what people thought of this alliance and how they operate? personaly i do not agree with the tactics they use thanks for any responses on this issue

posting a valid question with an alt is not a crime, flaming with one however should be. If someone chooses to use an alt to post on these boards he should not be flamed immediately for it. IF you don't want to add to the discussion or answer the question then simply goes to a different thread its not hard.
as for goon they play the game they wish to play. If its not an exploid i say anything goes.

True , i think he is posting with an alt coz either he got pwened badly or has some grudge so he doenst want to direct the flames to him self but just towards the entity in question so that more alts , trolls etc join the slander festival.

There is no valid question here. His question is too vague to actually be valid. He talks as if he just ran into them but somehow he knows 'their tactics.' As if that phrase has universal meaning. It however could mean everything from blobbing, logging off in combat, to undock bumping. (not to imply they do or do not do any of the previously mentioned)
My guess, he's a GoonSwarm alt trying to 'rorschach blot' the forum community. He wants to see our reaction to feed his ego.

My personal opinion:
The older players within "the swarm" are using all the goons as cheap meatshield and as sort of "inteligent macro mining drohnes"...otherwise they would have been kicked out of 0.0 fast...
I do not agree with these tactics, i already got some smackmails from goonies complaining why i shot them (whine, whine, "i'm only a noob and you're so strong...thats unfair"). And their older players loose barely their ships 'cause within the increadible BLOB they are quite safe + they are way more experienced and usually faster...
Honestly....which FC would send in "tacklers" without mwd towards some antifrig-fitted ships??
And something i REALLY dislike is the way they encourage their members to use very "suspicious tools":

Nobody is forced to mine you tard and if they dont use a MWD its because they are new players who cant yet use them.
I suppose thats the downside of only ever engaging t1 frigs while trying not to get your 9000th Caracal blown up.

I like the idea of goonswarm, i wish they were around when I was a little newbie. Would have made that segment of the game much beter if I could have gotten in then.

Make them friends like 3fa did because thats the simplest way? Of course its in your buissnes, and now you have friends on your level - goons. Goons are destroying this game in specific way. Of course many other ppl do that too in other ways but goons are my leaders in this category. Most basic tactic - lag - its working sometimes. Ppl with brain will call it lame. OMG lets use frighs and lag them! And lag is only beginig. But let them think they are worth something. Ive fought with them - never seen so many lamers, even guys from 2003/2004.
Maybe some ppl will think that theres much fun in goonfleet. Are blobs realy fun? Yes, but for how long? Where are good fights 1v1? Where are small battles? Those ppl wont learn anything good in goonfleet when they flight only in blobs. In small/medium size pvp corp you can learn much much more.
And Remedial... star of the goonfleet. I dont like bull**** but this guy is acting sometimes like a child. I was even wondering how old is he. So dear friends, we can fight toghether, we can die, and i have respect for your enemys. Well for most goonfleet members theres no respect.

You know, just because the only thing Goonswarm is known for is blobbing with frigates, doesn't mean its the only thing they do.
I know a Goonswarm member who is running an IPO on his (publicly known) alt and starting a business.

So I'm clear on this, they've edited the character portraits of 6000 people so when you see them in local you can instantly tell whether they're hostile or not? If so CCP, either ban them all or say we can copy them...
(edit: by "We" copying them I mean everyone apart from Goonswarm, not just AXE. Whether AXE uses something like this isn't my decision)

When you have dozens of eager players wanting to join a gang it's hard to reject them all. Obviously we would love it if the servers were further upgraded to accommodate large scale fleet combat. It's a real pain having half a gang lagwarp at every jump.
As for the "meatshield" and "mining slave" style comments by some posters here, new members of goonfleet immediately experience aspects of the game that many other players take months to get into. Our members enjoy complete economic freedom (except for anti-scamming rules).

Now that's really funny coming from a "drones out everyone and wait for the enemy to jump in" alliance. As for the modified clients, that was petitioned multiple times already and ccps standard answer was that they can't prove it and screens can be modified.
