Greetings test pilots,
Singularity is going offline for the weekend! As of some time this afternoon, we will be taking it down and running some database scripts to prepare for the first build of what will become the Industry release of Crius. We would like to thank you for all your diligent and forthright issue reporting and feedback over the Kronos release ramp-up, which resulted in one of the smoothest deployments and fallout periods in recent memory. Please note that the extended downtime of Sisi in no way reflects the downtime we will expect when Crius launches on TQ.
Some inevitable FAQs:
Will there be a new mirror?
Yes there will, but we are not sure of the exact timing of it yet. It is likely to occur in the next few weeks though, and given the nature of mirroring, we will be broadcasting it with as much lead time as possible.
Will you be giving out Industry skills?
We have no plans to give out skills at this time. Due to the nature of the changes, giving everyone level V in skills would definitely lessen the testing imprint we are hoping to get. That being said, at some point in development this may change. Mass tests will run as usual and SP will be awarded through them.
Will there be any changes to the market seeding?
No changes are planned to the market seeding for this Sisi rotation.
Will there be a place to see what's on Sisi?
A forum thread will go up on Tuesday next week (10th June) with all the pertinent details, and will be updated if/when more stuff hits the server, as well as broadcasting comm.

The job cost calculations on this first round of testing will not be accurate for the reasons you mention.
We will do a mirror in a couple of weeks with activity calculated from TQ data which will be a decent starting point and an indication of what pricing will look like day 1 on TQ.

With AT coming up, many teams are going to be wanting to start to practice, and given that most people have weekends off it's quite easy to coordinate times (given that people live in different timezones).
Not to mention the fact that all the ships that have been put together for practicing will then get wiped.
The sooner Duality can be released the better. |

Yes we know it is bad timing, but we have some long running database prep work to do before we can bring it back up and obviously testing releases takes priority over tournament practice.
We will not be wiping anything when it comes back on Tuesday, however you can expect a wipe in around 2 weeks time.

June 10th first iteration is loaded on Sisi. July 22nd it is to go live on TQ.
42 days, 6 weeks.
Apochrypha was at least 6 weeks on Sisi before it went live, with multiple iterations that wiped the slate clean several times, and this industry overhaul touches far more game mechanics than Apochrypha does (yes, I am aware that 2500 new systems, new rats, new modular ships, totally new industrial chains were added).
There will be no way to test some of the longer term trending mechanics of Crius until they hit TQ.
This is not going to end well. Most people viewed Orwell's writings as a warning. The harper regime and the goons treat them as a guidebook. |

Any chance you can keep it updated nightly to what TQ has, with additional load on the systems as determined by SISI values? I know it would be a slight pain to setup, but would be better for testing.
Alternately, being able to have certain systems setup to be at certain levels of use to simulate 0 to completely overloaded, would be much better for testing purposes I think, since we aren't going to get the kind of industrial load on SISI that we will get on TQ

That would solve the problem of predictable testing, and maybe improve the big picture of the impact of the changes. |

Please consider change of market seed stations to move it towards lower truesec. Because some things are easier to test in -1.0 system, and market in three jumps at -0.4, well, is provoking me to mass-buy everything in gargantuan numbers and haul it there.
And if I recall correctly, "buying everything" is a thing you asked us to avoid.
Also, please clear old API keys on SiSi. Either clear it completely on mirroring (better), or copy actual keys only (worse but it will help much) Best solution is: randomize all vCodes on mirroring. |

Considering the seeding programs deposits ten million of all relevant modules, I don't think you're going to need all those for any sort of reasonable testing. |

I also get this message, "A new version of EVE Online is available, please update with the EVE launcher."
Cheers! Go to Settings in the Launcher --> Eve Client Settings --> then start the Eve Online Repair Tool

So it looks like BPO's will retain the time remaining on a research job.
I suppose the new job interface is not 100% working yet as it displays 0 for Job Cost and 2% improvement but no numbers or graph for Materials or Time (this was a virgin Archon BPO going to PE +1).
BTW new interface looks, well, a lot nicer then the current one!
Once live I hope the ME values of BPO's already in any research location will retain/adjust to values reflecting any existing research.
I do kinda miss the guys in the lab coats though... |

I cant log onto the testserver. Its says you must download the update through the launcher but when I try the launcher is in offline mode. Restarting, repairing and reinstalling the test client all do nothing to fix it, What can I do? |

Most people there have tried creating a new Testserver folder from the existing Tranquility Build.
I have done it and right now nothing has changed when I try to login. I get the account expired AND the wrong version window when I try to login. (I made sure my account got reactivated shortly before Kronos hit the servers, so that one should still be active). |

Aye, all tried 3 times, with different sisi folders, first I copied my current TQ folder setting it for sisi, errors were showing. So I downloaded completely new client and set it for Sisi as I always do and then updated, this did not help as well, still both of these errors are showing. |

It works flawlessly for one account and trows error of inactivity and update of luncher needed for other Read and support: Don't mess with OUR WH's What is Your stance on WH stuff? |

My Corp recently started assessing the SiSi industry changes and impacts. Some of our comments I expect a "We're not there yet" reply.
1) Really hard to assess the array stacking benefit of reduced install costs because you've stated that the charges will be dynamically calculated. Need some better approximation of system install costs.
2) Me, Pe array savings don't appear to be any better with multiple arrays. I don't think you've stated that they would be, one could only hope :D
3) Across T1 BPO we seeing about a 30% bump in materials on the Crius BPO's. This appears to be offset by the POS Ship Array Me savings.
4) The T2 BPC was a bit shocking. The same 30% parts bump. And now it takes a pair of T1 hulls to build a T2 hull. For the small ships this probably isn't a big deal. For T2 Battle cruisers or bigger this will really spike prices mostly just because the baseline costs to produce them will get ridiculously high. Then there's the big T2 Jump Freighters....2 Charon Hulls at 1.4B a shot + the new added material costs puts a Rhea over 10B in just manufacture costs. Most smallish corps cant afford to buy something that expensive. Between the costs and the big JF NERF I suspect the JF sales will be tanking.
5) POS management under the new system: In our Corp we calculate slot costs based on the calculated array slot power and cpu per hour with a smallish mark up because slots are not always used. This allows the members that are using the facilities to pay for the fuel used and the members that don't, don't shoulder the fuel bill. We tried to find a way to implement the array tax and couldn't find a way to set it from any dialog. The field is present, please don't make that a global setting because a ship array can cost thousands of power and CPU per hour using a significant level of resources and a manufacture array far less.
6) I liked the remote job management changes but would like to see the hold sizes doubled to allow better utilization.

Won't the 30% bump on most of them be coming from Extra Materials now being in standard materials. Which actually means it's a visual trick and you are saving materials? The 2 for 1 req isn't meant to exist per their blogs, so hopefully gets fixed. |

I dont like the way the labs are currently setup on Sisi. If you want to copy a BPO, then upgrade it, you have to physically goto the POS & move the BPO from one lab to the next. Also the copy lab uses 100 cpu more then the original combined lab for Me, Pe, Copy, Invent. I also dont like the fact that using my own POS labs cost me ISK, that doesnt even go back to my corp but is paid i presume to the current systems faction onwership, or am i wrong here? If its in EVE , then i probably shot at it at least once. |

After working through the math I'm getting really concerned.
CCP is asking us to recalculate all our spreadsheets and adding an unnecessary layer of costs for no perceivable gameplay improvements. I like to believe I'm open minded to change so I will wait to see how the pudding bakes out in July.
If this change deploys I'll have to evaluate my options as I'm sure others also will. My advice to the DEVs is this. Be very careful how many of the players you **** off. If a significant number of players leave it is likely to cost you your jobs. EvE still hasn't really recovered from the mining nerf from 2 years ago. |

I'm trying to test the pos-related-changes
I'm encountering some major issues... I can launch the pos (gallente large) online it and fuel it also add stront then I launch my structures (pos is online) and want to anchor them so i move the green boxes near the pos but nothing hapens.

i tested the new compressing on the Rorqual and the Array.
I recognized that the new pressing for each ore stack (100er) gets one Compressed ore, thats fine.
But the Compressed Ore i have stored in Station will lose a lots of worth as theyre number didn-¦t Change. So dunno if this was just a bug on Sisi which didn-¦t Change the compressed ore Count on Station. Or if i should refine all my Compressed Ore before Cruius and not getting the new yields from Crius.
