I just noticed thßt when i look at my caldari BS/CR skill on attributes i can see what it is boosting but ie. minmatar and amarr arent showing any bonuses for the skill...i REALLY hope this is not going to end as a "u only gain the bonus for your original race" thing.

If this has been stealth changed, I am going to be very disappointed. The bonuses on ships are not supposed to be race specific... (sorry, all races in the game are HUMAN)
There was a long thread not too long ago, and most of the people in it were against the idea (quite a few of the ones that were for it were in noob corps with very few posts... Take that as you may.)

I remember a time before EVE was released when the devs actually said picking certain races would have benefits / drawbacks.

silly one, the bonus of BS skills, like cruiser and frigate, only apply to the ship
ie : if you train gallente BS to lvl 4 you wont get the +20% large hybrid dmg and tracking on any ship other than the megathron...
if you pilot a dominix or a scorpion or an apoc ull get different bonus...
theres multiple skills in the game that have stuff on the "attribute" page who dont mean anything, ship skills being one, "drones" being another ( you dont get -5 to drone speed by training the skill) etc

Race should mean that you get a special extra bonus if you are flying a ship made by your race. How they do it - I don't care.
Options:
A) only get the ship bonus if your of the same race.
B) get an extra 10% caps and cpu if of the same race (and give the ship bonus to all)

or what if i was an orphan raised by a galenta family? would i get the bonus for caldari and gallente? OR WHAT IF MY MUM WAS AMARRIAN AND MY DAD WAS GALLENTE, AND THEY ADOPTED A HALF BROTHER FOR ME WHO WAS MINMATAR?...
your race already limits you in your basic attributes, i see no need to add a feature such as this in 4 months into retail, if its even in at all.

you are comparing apples to apples... in EVE its not so...
how long and how far have the "races" in eve been separated?
When you go to the ôrightö side of the website and read about the ôracesö are they the same? Or do they have quite the differences separating them from one another.

It isn't at all - have you ever had a look at the manual for a piece of electronics written in poorly translated 'English'? Even if you look at manuals/textbooks written 50 years ago they are often not as easy to use as modern ones. Once someone becomes proficient in the use of something I don't think there is any reason why one race should be better than another. There are good real life precidents for it being quicker to learn something that is delivered in the same way as the educational system you have been through, and last I checked a Minmatar can't graduate from the university in Sehmy for example.

On this you're probably right, especially for existing skills. I do hope they consider something like this for future skills though.

But if I go to the US, I have to drive on the other side of the road, am I going to be more, or less, proficient at driving in that situation than someone who has done it all their life?

So now training battleshipskill (not of your own race) above lvl 2 wont gain u **** anymore,and those who have are asked to bend over and take it up your a$$ again ?
For christ sake what is wrong with those developers, trying to empty the game once and for all ?
