What it is all about
Ever since I read books like Otherland, Snow Crash, Diamond Age or the very first of them, Neuromancer, I was fascinated by the idea of living in cyberspace. In 1999 I started playing Ultima Online, not because I was a gamer, but because I believed that this was the beginning of life in virtual environments, the start of all that what was the heart of the novels I admired so much.
Ultima Online slowly degenerated to a pure game, and thus lost its fascination and potential of becoming a true virtual world. I looked for other ideas and offerings and in summer 2005 I found eve-online. That time this franchise promised (and still promises) to evolve to true cyberspace one time. So I cancelled everything in Ultima Online and moved over to eve-online.
Virtual Life Vanguard
It was not a very difficult decision to let my fascination of cyberspace evolve into a concept for a corporation in eve-online. Having some 7 years intensive experience in MMOGs, I believe I know what players want. I created a corporation which is storylined about living in cyberspace, and structured to make gameplay an enjoyable experience to all members.
Virtual Life Vanguard is designed to cater to the basic needs of players, like
 acknowledgement and recognition
career and leadership roles for those who want that
resources to support the members
ambition, goals and storyline to outline a greater cause and future
democratic leadership with guidance and comraderie
Virtual Life Vanguard aims for mild roleplaying (no need for that in the ingame corp channel) and allows for nearly all playstyles, along as it is good aligned. The corporation can act as the platform for ambitious leaders who do not want to start and manage an own corporation, as well as for the casual freelancer who logs in one or two times a week.

There is a comprehensive webpage available, where you can read all the details about Virtual Life Vanguard. You will find an own forum over there, which is intended for intensive use and - besides the news section of the webpage - acts as the major knowledge base and information resource to VlV's members. Yep, VIV really is a promising corporation, I joined and found that out.
You can spend your time on what you want (as long as you're not being a bad guy -- we're anti-pirate), and even now in it's early stages the corp provides all the instas you would want and a lot of blueprints...
The CEO has a whole larger philosophical angle motivating him to do a lot of work for the corporation, which is quite beneficial to the members, even if they aren't interested in the philosophical part, as that is not required... Efforts have been made to make the structure inherently fair and catering to many sorts of different interests in playing EVE -- the corp wants to grow. If you're looking for a corp, I really recommend you check VIV out! New players and veterans are both welcome.

Hi,
I've been playing EVE for about a month and trying to figure out where I fit in (this is my first MMORPG). I like the idea of being an explorer but there are several websites that have info on everything in EVE. I'm looking for a corp but it seems that most are PVP's. I'm not really into that. VLV sounds interesting and well structured. Where in EVE is the corp based ? Do you have anything against other races joining ? Do you go into 0.0 space a lot ?

Thank you for your interest in VlV! The Headquarter of VlV is in Orvolle, Placid region, but we are not fixed to that area. Our members are active all over the universe, where there travels lead them to. Besides Gallente we already have Minmatar and Caldari in VlV, there are no prejudices against races. We already did some surveillance and recon into 0.0 and plan to be more active there in future, but at present the vast majority of our activities take place in Empire.

I've been playing for about 3 months now and I don't see any other corporation whose ideals and potential for growth would be as nice as Virtual Life Vanguard's. A really friendly and open environment to have fun with in EVE.
The availability of all the necessary instas is something really handy to have because people don't like to pay huge amounts of money for them and it takes quite a lot of time to do them youselves.
Also VIV already has a good start on growing, because our CEO and some other members of VIV are really dedicated to VIV's cause. VIV works just fine for freelancers as well as for and especially for people who want to spend their time playing in a nice corporation and working for the best of that friendly group. ^^

Yep, our corporation is growing. If you're looking for a corp, do check us out. The benefits of belonging to VIV include that there aren't mandatory corp activities that you have to spend your time on (and neither are you required to pay anything), but there are corp ops that you can participate in if you wish!

I must say I've been reading all I can about you guys and this Corp is definatly very high on my list of Corps I am interested in joining! I'm relatively new n EVE, learning my way around. I am definatly looking for a worthwhile group to fly with as it gets very lonely out there solo.
My goals are simple. I want to work towards becoming an effective fighter pilot and the move on to recon or stealth. After I have become good at that I want to look towards transport and industry. I hope to one day earn a leadership position somewhere and maybe form my own corp in the distant future.

i mean no offense but when you list them in that order and with that much emphasis on industrialists you are not going to interest any fighters who are worth their salt. if you want pvp pilots to cover you in low security, you are probably going to have to make a whole new thread to recruit them, because we are egotistical like that about being in corps with carebears.

Thank you for expressing your concern. Actually we are planning to create individually designed reqruitement postings for each of our divisions, one of them purely focused on fighter pilots.
Within the broader focus of VlV, there is more then enough to do for dedicated fighters...

Thank you for your point of view, but we are anything but 'carebears'. Last I checked, I didn't have a big clover leaf shooting out of my chest. It's still early in the week though........
As to the order of our 'list'. Any pilot worth their salt won't care what order they came in. We're not looking for mercenaries. What's the point if you can't watch your own mates back? Pride, honor, loyalty, adventure: these are the things that matter, not where you are in a sentence.

My fellow pilots of EVE. I orbit here before you, to tell you about the Virtual Life Vanguard. Built on a solid foundation constructed by our esteemed CEO, Juwi Kotch, who has served in the galactic armadas of the past wars. He knows the lessons of battle and the economies of peace. He has brought together like minded pilots from across the stars and races, to help him realize his dream of a better tomorrow. Pod life is just one step closer to true virtual existence, and we must be ready when it comes.
We have five main Divisions: Home Office ( Headed by Juwi Kotch - CEO/Admiral ); Security ( Headed by Praetorian Warrior - Rear Admiral ); Resources ( Headed By William J - Rear Admiral ); Production ( Open ); Marketing ( Open ).
As you can see, Leadership opportunities are there to be earned. We have a very structured Corp., shown for you here, Ranks & Ribbons. Though Skill Points and Experience do count within Virtual Life Vanguard, we do not turn away green pilots, still fresh from the academy. We welcome those who are new to the pod way of life. All we ask is that you embody the traits we all stand for: Loyalty; Honesty; Respect. We also ask that you have a dedication to the Universe of EVE ( No accounts shorter than two weeks, please. ).
Also, and I want to make this very clear, no matter how serious this post may seem we all realize that EVE is a game. All this talk of building a better tomorrow is all well and good, but if we're not having a blast while we do it, what's the point? When we get together, whether on our Forums or in our pods, we're always having a good time. Not only do you get to be a part of building a new kind of Corp., but you get to hang with some great people, who are friendly, helpful, and a joy to be around.
As you might have gathered, we are no strangers to Role Playing. We're not what you call "Hardcore RP," but we enjoy the immersion of EVE, which comes to us very easily. We all have "real" names for our pilots, and ask that all our members do the same. "WhorreMaster of 1337dom" would not really be in the spirit of things. As Juwi mentions on our website, no need to talk in any Victorian style ( unless you really want to ). The Sci-Fi genre lends itself very easily to modern speech, so all you have to do is just talk shop ( "Anyone got a spare Plasma Gun?" ).

Oh cruel fate that would conspire to keep me from my appointed rounds!
As you may have noticed, I missed a couple of days. This was not by design, but rather a hijacking of the most nefarious sort. Luckily I came through it for the most part unscathed ( though I do seem to have a thruster burn in an unlikely area ).
As I am once again docked and desk bound, I just want to reiterate how truly excellent my fellow pilots in Virtual Life Vanguard are, and how in the end they are the ones who make this Corp. worthwhile. There are infinite possiblities in the Universe of EVE, and the Virtual Life Vanguard aims to try them all!

Well, good morning EVE!
For some of you it may be later, or earlier, but we'll stick with the morning, makes me less confused.
Just to confess, waking life has been a tad rough of late, so my forays in to other realms has suffered a bit. No worries, I bravely forge ahead!
"What could be so important?" you ask, "What has inspired this poor, beaten man to reach these heights?" Why, the Virtual Life Vanguard of course!
Even when space seems far out of reach, I still feel like I'm right there every time I visit our forums at Virtual Life Vanguard. Our members are amazing people, many with families, who are intelligent, caring individuals with sharp wits and fast reflexes.
No matter what your proffession is, no matter what your Skill Point count is, no matter what your gender, race ( In-World and Out ), or religion is, we will accept you! What's truly important is a love for all things EVE ( yep, I said it ), Respect for your fellow pilots, Honor and Honesty in and out of battle, Loyalty to your Corp. mates and friends, and a good sense of Humor!
With exciting plans for the future, and great people to share that future with, Virtual Life Vanguard may just be the home you've been looking for.

The Virtual Life Vanguard is the Corp. of the future. We've laid out long term plans to meet our Corp's. goals, which allows us the flexibility to pursue personal goals as well. Let's face it, working for "The Man" can be taxing ( did I just make a pun? ), so having the freedom to work on our individual projects is very important to us. In the end, we all dock at the same station ( metephorically speaking of course ).

Another day, another harrowing journey through Space!
No worries though. As I float peacefully among the stars in the security of my Safe Spot, I can't help but feel a sense of wonder at the vastness of the Universe and all the amazing places and people it contains.
The Virtual Life Vanguard is only one of those places, but what a place it is!
We're looking for combat pilots, miners, traders, scientists, researchers, and more. We're not looking to blast our way to glory, but to provide a means by which every member can contribute to the Corp., as well as realize their own dreams.
The Virtual Life Vanguard is a Corp. that upholds the qualities of Honor, Respect, and Loyalty. We are always willing to help out our Corp. mates, in whatever endeavors they choose, and have fun doing it!

Do you have 50billion SP ( ), but the bureaucracy of past Corps. has left you feeling disillusioned and fed up?
Do you dream of being a part of shaping the future of EVE? Or do you merely want to ply your trade in peace, while history unfolds?
Well, if you've answered yes to one are all of these questions then the Virtual Life Vanguard is the place for you!
At the Virtual Life Vanguard, we don't care if you have 50 SP or 50 billion! What we look for is strength of character, dedication to the Universe of EVE ( no trial accounts please. You don't have to love us *though that helps!*, but you should love EVE ), and a penchant for social interaction. Being a loner is great and all, but we're a team of friends and Corp. mates, so it's probably better if you like hanging with people a bit.
We're looking for pilots of all professions. We have an active Security Division as well as Marketing, Resources, and Production Divisions. EVE is a long term Universe, and we've set our goals accordingly.
The Virtual Life Vanguard is a Corp. for it's members. While we all work towards building our Corp., many of our members have their own desires to pursue, and we encourage those pursuits. EVE should be fun, not a second job.
We are also a Corp. that upholds the law, and we frown on acts of piracy or griefing. We respect our fellow pilots, and will do everything in our power to protect their rights as well as the rights of our members. You don't need to be dignified, but it would be good if you had a sense of Honor and Integrity.
If you like to RP, then the Virtual Life Vanguard just might be a good home for you as well! We're not "hardcore RP," but immersion is very important to us. You may have noticed during your tour of our web site that all of our members have names that fit easily in to the EVE Universe. We ask that any applicants follow the same creed ( basically, ph33rtehh4xOrd00d or PhatMomma WeedBlow wouldn't really be in the spirit of things ).
We're not some highfalutin Corp.. We're a group of mature players who like to have fun, and who are fascinated by EVE and the ability this Universe gives its players to truly shape its future. Well, due to unforseen events I was unable to connect to the Network and missed the last couple of days. At least I was able to blast out of the space port before all hell broke loose!
The Virtual Life Vanguard is a Corp. that will make a difference in the Universe of EVE. We grow slowly but surely, making sure the right kind of pilots join our ranks. No cutthroats, backstabbers, thiefs, cheats, or griefers. If you can't treat your fellow pilots and Corp. mates with respect and honor, don't bother to apply. A growing Corp. that doesn't descriminate based on Skill Points, the Virtual Life Vanguard works for it's members.
You might be thinking, "Works for it's members? Does that mean I can just kick back and relax while the ISK flows into my wallet?" Not exactly ( though our Researches are working on it! ). What it means is that the Virtual Life Vanguard will support you, the pilot, in your personal endeavors. Whatever you may dream of doing in EVE ( besides pirating and griefing ), we will back you up!
As the Virtual Life Vanguard grows, so grows opportunity! We have a well defined Corp. structure, with Divisions catagorized into Security, Marketing, Resources, Production, and the HomeOffice ( headed by our esteemed CEO, Juwi Kotch ). As anyone knows after spending just a little time in the EVE Universe, "long term" is a way of life, and we have set our goals up with the long term in mind.

Well, it's been some time since we've heard from any of the Virtual Life Vanguard's members, so Juwi Kotch, our esteemed CEO and Admiral, felt the urge to once again share his thoughts about the Corp. he founded.
What Juwi says is true. Though we have a very structured Corp., we don't demand constant work from our members. In fact, our members are more than willing to pitch in on a mining Op, or a rat hunt through low sec. space. The Virtual Life Vanguard is more than just a slash and burn PvP corp., more than just an industrial corp.. We aim to make a difference in this Universe, and we welcome any pilot who feels the same way. So come visit the Virtual Life Vanguard. These might just be the droids you're looking for.

Good morning early risers and late to-bedders ( hey, people make up words every day )!
Man, who out there remembers that moment when they started training for their first BS? I swear I've got goosebumps ( either that, or I picked up something from my last shore leave )!
But enough about me and my possible Space excema. We're here to talk about the Virtual Life Vanguard Corp.!
We're a lawful Corp. looking for like minded pilots to join us in building a new future for EVE. Kali will be bringing new systems to explore, all out in 0.0, and Empire is getting mighty crowded. Wouldn't it be nice to be able to mine safely in 0.0? Wouldn't it be refreshing to be able to Trade in peace? 0.0 is dangerous, yes, but can't we also build our own Empires, ones that promote peace and stability instead of war and chaos?
It's not going to happen tomorrow, but does anything in EVE? We've set ourselves up for steady and methodical growth. We allow our pilots the freedom to explore their individual potentials while providing them with a solid structure to stand on. We have a truly international Corp., both in EVE and in RL, and our players are imaginative and mature, who enjoy all aspects of this great Universe we all call home.
It's truly exciting to think that we can make a positive difference in this Universe. As EVE grows, so shall we grow in turn.

Ahhh Thursday, the day that's not quite Friday, but a damn site better than Wednesday.
With hard pretzels to my right, mini muffins to my left, and a cup of joe center stage, I feel like I've got a good grip on reality. I just wish the voices would stop speaking in Spanish ( D=nde est฿ la biblioteca? ).
So, putting aside my esoteric ramblings, I would like to direct your attention to the Corp. on your right, the Virtual Life Vanguard.
Though small, we have high ideals and set goals with a solid foundation from which to build on. We have members from many different countries: Finland, Netherlands, England, USA, China, and Germany. We are a mature group of players, who know how to have fun and enjoy all the professions of EVE. We welcome like minded pilots, and only ask that you be beyond your Trial period and good aligned ( basically not a pirate and/or just plain rude ).

Hello brave spacefarers!
Sorry about missing Saturday's post, but my RL second job hijacked me into a 12 hour day. Suffice to say, my bones are weary.
So I'm just going to say that the Virtual Life Vanguard is a small but spunky Corp. with mature and active members. We're looking for pilots who want to make a difference in EVE for the better, and like to have fun while doing it!

Not my fault, I swear, for some reason the EVE site has been acting funny on my home comps. No loady goody. But I digress.

I believe I may be entering the mental slow down part of my day. You know when you're working furiously, chugging along, and then you suddenly find yourself staring blankly at the monitor, jaw slack and pen poised permanently mid-scribble? That's pretty much me right now.

Well, I have very little time! Any moment now the Grand Funk Railroad train will take me to the fabled "House of Blues" to see George Clinton and his P-Funk Allstars!
Sounds pretty cool, eh? That's what I was thinking too.

I am pretty worn out, what from funking it up last night and then working early this morning. It was like a Funk Revival in there!

Well, looks like I was devoured by the great beast that is Monday. Good thing I'm slow to digest!
I know I have been fairly succint of late. Chalk it up to long work weeks. Also, after a bit you're really just saying the same thing, and I'm sure the thread has plenty of info on it already.
So for now I'm just going to keep it simple, until I drink a pot of coffee and freak out on my keyboard.
