Hi, I'm an alt of an experienced pirate. I recently made this account to be my hauling alt yet now im in conflict and would like some opinions.
My pirate main flys Amarr, what I plan to do with this alt is give him all the neccesary skills to fly any ship my main can fly but not set those skills to level 5. So basically I'm going to get his BS skill to 2 and thats all and such. What I planned for this alt is to make him an industrial alt, hardcore miner. He can be my hauling alt AND fund my pirate activities.
Now however the excitement of possibly flying my other favorite race, gallante, has overtaken me. I've always wanted to setup a crazy pimped out T2 Thorax and kill people. Now since this is my hauling alt I don't want to kill people in low sec, I want to do it in empire wars. Now my problem is this, if I do indeed turn this into a legal pvp alt rather then an industrial alt, would I run into financial problems in the future on my main? He's experienced in piracy but doesn't use really expensive equipment so he's pretty financially secure at the moment.
But when I start using T2 Mega Pulses and such, will I need an industrial alt? Or will NPCing on my main just cover the costs? I'm simply asking for opinions here. What would YOU do?

Very much doubt you would 'need' an industry alt. The majority of player do not have second account, and they manage okay. It would certainly make it easier, having an industry alt though.

So it's true. Pirates do have carebear alts.

Some do, mine will probably be a mission ***** more likely though. I can't STAND mining.

I run an alt with a freighter for Haulage purposes that is specced in research and production too.
Nothing wrong with playing the game from two angles, my alter-ego is a well trusted and sucessful contract haulage specialist.
