So I am training up to fly a manticore, and I was looking for people to share their glorious wins and first losses in their stealth bomber
what do you like to do in your bomber and how do you fit it for that role?

I like to destroy mackinaws and then die to Ishtars.
I use Torps and a covert cloak.

Edit to be more serious:
The highs are pretty standard across the board: 1 Cloak, 1 Bomb Launcher, 3x Torp launchers
Mids: Generally a long point, some kind of prop mod, and ewar (I tend to fit sensor damps and/or taget painters).
Lows: Nano, Ballistic Control Unit, Damage Control.

As has been said fits don't have a lot of room their basicly standards useage 1 never MWD at something to bomb it without an aligned to warp threw you can't stop nor turn in time. 2 outside lock breakers 1 bomb will 99% of the time do nothing. Very little outside a mwding t1 frig and bomber will die to a single bomb.3 anything small will eat you easy so choose what and when to attack stuff is important to learn. I've sat and watched my fleet die horribly at time because uncloaking to try and help would end in nothing but a free km. Beyond that I've dine anoms in them and belt rat in them. |

If you arent using them like technicals with a grenade launcher, you can use them to scan, WH, light rat, explore, ninja salvage etc etc etc

One of my more hilarious losses was on this character. Warped in at range on somebody, landed directly on a rat and was decloaked and killed.
It was incredulously funny.

happy bomber tales
-killed the same guy twice after deccing his corp, he was in a maller, both times he decided to brawl and died. Then he took it to the evemail arena but couldn't turn that into much win either.
-saw a bomber on dscan, found him in a belt bashing a BS rat, picked an asteroid and a good celestial to warp in from. Waited 5km from him until rat died, decloaked and killed him, scooped all the things.
-creeping around the EBOLA bubble camp on first jump into GW. Waiting for their pvp Mach to appear at his perch so i could sidle up. Get bored, throw bomb while accelerating to warp after decloak (decloak launch align is fail) wait what was that sparkly thing i saw?
Warp back cloaked and see that a harpy had hit the mwd to catch me, discovering the quality laughs to be had from the mwd sig bloom when a bomb is flying at your face.
-Ninja bomber roam discovers neuts killing a pos and many BS on a gate. Get asked to lead bombing run because everyone else new to this. Spend one hot minute directing slot layout so f1 f2 = decloak launch, get everybody aligned to warp out past gate, feeling good about this, three deep breaths, on my mark decloak n launch, getting ready to warp us out OMG WHY SO MUCH TIDI?
I kid you not at that exact same moment TEST Alliance had warped in a bombing gang and launched. Didn't notice them spike local due to already high numbers.
Bombs all over the place. Every. BS. Died. Bombers warping in all directions. Professionalism dissolves in laughter and highfives, local fills up with 'we accidentally your BS' etc
Yeah i GÖÑ bombers.

Just remember, a bomber fleet is like an orgy. The more the merrier, but don't invite too many people if you don't know what you're doing.

Because the dps from the 3rd torp is rather more useful than the bomb launcher, particularly if you're going to be on an extended deployment. |

That guy is great at what he does. Stalk his fits and note his targets. He flies a purifer though, which has a different slot layout. If you want to do solo bomber stuff, go to wormhole space. It's by far the best arena for bombers without local giving you away.

The Nemesis has the same slot layout as the Manticore, if you're looking for fit ideas. There's a couple examples on my killboard. Probe launcher is mandatory in wormhole space.
