So, im living in UK playing on the TQ server but recently i have had a load of family and friends over in china playing the game too since its release over there. So my few questions are...
 Can i use chat to talk to players on the other server while I play on TQ
Can i search for their char names and add them to my friendslist so i know when they come online
Is its possible to get a list of the chinese names of the ships with there english ones (written in english not in the chinese charaters cause i cant read or write  ) so that it is easyer for me to see what ships my cousin has got and what i have got easyer instead of trying to describer each ship.
and to clarify... im not a macro, my friends and family are not macros and no we dont play 23/7 on eve, we are casual players

The Clusters are completely Seperated so there is no connection between the two, Also i think TQ and China's server will be on different versions some of the time as updates will not be released on both at the same time.

mmm ok then point 1 and 2 are off ill have to bug them into using vent then..... but what about the ships anes... anyone got a list??

I'm no expert but my guess is that as the new China server is completely separate hardware, run by a completely separate company you won't ever be able to chat to people on it or add them to your friend list.
As for the names of the ships, that's a little less easy to answer. Can your cousin get to this website? If so, just send him a link to a particular ship in the item database on the left, and he can compare icons. I'm sure that somebody else will come up with a cleverer solution.

China has instated restrictions on the amount of time their citizens can play computer, so they need seperate companies ran by chinese to enforce these laws ^.-

well ty emily but i kinda tryed there database thing but basicly my cousin is sucky at english and it jsut takes too long jsut to look for one ship and compare the pictures tbh.....

True, but only one person has to do it. Then you can forward all the results to a Chribba-type person, and they can write up a translation page for the rest of us to look at.

technically if they are on the china server the characters are noobs  even if the players arent so it depends on your interpretatino of the phrase

if im wrong or not im also fount out they get lvl 6 skills..... i dunno if my cousin is pullin my leg or summit but im just goin wait for a screenshot.
according to him he says once u have lvl 5 u can pay isk to get it to lvl 6
anyways back to the main topic, anyone know how mabey a english-chinese ship names would be nice and helpfull

All I can suggest blade for now, is that fumble about on the Chinese Item Database with you family telling you what square to click on!!

Try it again, seems these boards will accept but don't like chinese characters :/

i already know that we cant get on there server
gfldex i would try that way but do you know how hard it is to ask him what ship hes got??? id have to show his all the types of cruisers befor he could tell me. i list would jsut be simple, im pretty sure the devs could jsut pull the names out of the chinese server and link them to the english ones... or am i jsut askin too much

Not unless you can fool their server into believing you're in China, and not legally even then.
