Well let's put it like this;
when my friend says 'let's go to the pub and have a beer!' I know he means we're gonna drink 5 or six.
Thus a 'few' beers must logically be 15 or more.
But when it comes to quantifying beer, it tends to get tough after the sixth or so.
This is why people don't say 'let's go and have 11 3/4 beers' but rather say 'let's go and have a few beers'. -----

Originally by: Mag's so which is higher, few or several?
It depends on the type of item and the circumstances.
(Several is more in most cases)

Logic would dictate it is several, but in fact it would be a few.
Try saying several when you have had a few.

Originally by: Brannor McThife I have nothing against Scamming...it's part of the GAME. I however, do not perceive the forums as a measure to further said scams that are ingame. The rules used to state NO SCAMMING WHATSOEVER.
The rules in force at the time of the incident, which underlies this present crisis of confidence, categorically stated that there would be NO in game consequences of forum scamming. The fact that the rules may have been unclear in their intention to bar all scamming from the forums does not justify the action of the GM's contrary to the stated rules.

Let's go over this point-by-point, shall we?
Quote: 5. Posting scam auctions and sales are not permitted here.*
Fact: rule was broken -- perpetrator becomes witness for the prosecution by very publicly admiting action and intent.
So, what happens in the case of a scam? (let's set aside the purposefully broken rule for the momement)
You are outrageous in your flagrant mis-quotation of the rule that was in effect at the time, and obfuscation of the real truth.
The only rule broken was in making the forums a tool of the scam. The highest stated penalty for this rule-breaking was a forum ban.
The rule that was in effect at the time categorically stated that there would be no in-game consequences for forum scams - a section of the rules that you have deliberately omitted in your most condescending summary.
The GM's, therefore, broke their own rule and this is a far more serious offence than abusing the forums.
